China AIrlines via Booking.com have a better discount than what China Airlines is currently offering. Nonstop flights to Taipei Taiwan from Los Angeles (LAX) is $831 or from Ontario CA (ONT) is $856, round trip. You will be allowed a personal item, a carry-on bag and a checked bag for free.

this is useful price reference for those looking online.

Booking.com and other travel agencies have the same access to "tour group" prices that airlines out of Asia often offer.

it means if I go to a local travel agency that specializes in travel to East Asia, they can get a similar priced ticket.

or buy direct and pay more. everyone has their own comfort levels and points payout they're trying to achieve.

I've done Taiwan for $500 round-trip on United from lax, this isn't a bad price but a fairly frequently seen price.

Do you have frequent flier miles? I've paid ~20-30K DL miles on China Air multiple times for Japan to Taiwan. In comparison to using your miles in the US, using miles in Asia is a better deal.
