Anyone know of these are priced at a lower 'non-delivered' price in the warehouse?

I was at the warehouse in Lexington, KY today. They had a sign for the lightning version of APP 2nd Gen for $189.99 however they were sold out. I think they are probably clearing out the lighting version stock and I bet they will have the USB C version in most warehouses within the next few weeks. I needed to replace my Gen 1's so I went ahead and bought this deal via the website.

I think it's curious that they are bundling AppleCare+. I wonder if they are doing that due to lots of returns. AirPods tend to crap out within a couple years with a lot of use and Costco has a very generous return policy for AirPods such that you don't really need AppleCare+. Honestly, if I have problems with my Gen 2s in the future I will be more likely to return them to Costco than to seek a repair via Apple. So, the AppleCare+ is waste for me, but this was the best deal I found currently. I am sure there will be better deals next week without AC+.

I was asking because on the website it states "Item may be available in your local warehouse for a lower, non-delivered price", didn't know they weren't available at the warehouse yet.

I think they had them for $199 at Amazon yesterday or the day before if I remember correctly. I have some Costco gift cards so wanted purchase there because of that but would rather not have to be forced into AppleCare+ cost rolled into the price. AppleCare+ is also a waste for me, wasn't planning on getting it with the AirPods from wherever I purchased them.

I'm assuming they might be including AppleCare+ because of what you mentioned, too many returns. They probably hope that you go claim something with AppleCare+ instead of returning to them since you have it.

these are on sale for $199 on a regular basis so this deal saves you possibly just your tax amount (on $199)

applecare a waste?
I dk about that the chances these earbuds stop working in a year would be 90 percent. When that happens you'll be glad you paid the extra $29

There's no limit on return period for AirPods. There is a 90 day return policy on most electronics but AirPods are not included in the 90 day policy. That's why the AppleCare+ is kind of a waste; you could just return to Costco for a full refund whenever they crap out (even 2 or 3 years later).

The Lightning ones are again on sale at Walmart @169.99. I would wait on the USB-C ones because Pro's always come on sale every year around Christmas time in $160-$190 range.

I've had my AirPods Pro for four years. Going strong. Use all the time at the gym. They did replace them a couple years back for a recall.

My AirPods 2nd gen suck tho. Battery life is abysmal now. Had them less but the left one craps out way faster than the right.

I had my originals for almost 4-years too and the battery life was good, but at least for me, the 2nd gen have a longer battery life than my originals ever did. Besides improved battery, I think they sound better and the noise cancelling is vastly improved.

I managed to sell my originals for $100 and it was well worth the price for the upgrade.

AirPods 3rd gen is when battery got great. I had to replace both my first and second gen within a year due to poor battery. 3rd gen has been great for several years.
