Its funny when people spend 2 hours working out, but complain about picking weights from the floor. Man, just consider that to be 1 rep for legs šŸ˜‚

Picking them up off the floor sucks having a stand for adjustable dumbbells is a must.

These are $169 without the stand. Is the stand really worth an extra $80?

I agree, though built my stand out of 2x4s and it's been great for years now.

Objectively, it's a very reasonable price for a stand.. If you need it or not is purely subjective.
Me, I have one for my adjustables (180lb power blocks set) and wouldn't want NOT to have a stand.

For roughly the same price power blocks does make a collapsible stand that some might appreciate. Me, I think this stand looks well built and I don't need collapsible as I have the floor space, so I'd opt for this stand.

I bought it and used it with another set of adjustable dumbbells. I'm pretty strong but I'm use to picking heavy weights off a stand and it's a pain to have to bend over, adjust the setting then pull up the 100 lbs worth of dumbbells off the floor. It looks more organized on a stand. This is fairly easy to put together. I think I had tools from other projects that made it easier for me to assemble this one. Also I priced similar stands and wasn't sure if they would hold the Crane adjustable weights I bought from Aldi and the others were more expensive (in some cases double or more). I was happy to see this on the Walmart app and it was available nearby for pickup. It really is universal. Each of my dumbbells go up to 50. I like it a lot.

If you don't want to have lower back surgery in a month - it's very much recommended

It depends on whether you lift weight you can handle or not. You shouldn't be lifting weights you can't pick up off the floor. You'll be strengthening your legs and butt if you practice lifting from the floor properly.

If you opt to not get the stand, squat down and lift them up straight. I learned the hard way and tweaked my back as well.

I love my adjustable dumbbells but really wish I had a stand for them. I hate having to go to the floor to adjust them.
