With the latest Nvidia drivers, I got a 3dmark of around 13,500 in TimeSpy, if that helps.

I purchased this laptop in store from the deal posted in the older deal thread when it was $1499. Before the purchase, I compared the Costco, Lenovo site, Microcenter and Bestbuy deals at that time and this was the best bang for the buck deal.
First off the laptop is a pretty big and heavy, over 5lbs. The size of the power brick is about 20% the size of the laptop itself and weighs over a pound. This is a gaming desktop replacement for me so the size and weight are not an issue for me. If you are lugging this around daily, size and weight may be a bigger consideration. Although I do not feel that it is overly large compared to other 16" laptops.
As for the battery supply, I cannot comment on that as I have only had it plugged in during usage. There are three modes of power consumption that you can toggle with function keys. I mainly use the silent mode during browsing and email and it is super quiet. The fans automatically crank up during gaming mode and the fan sound is noticeable as well as the heat coming out from the side vents. The screen is bright and beautiful and I like the higher resolution over 1080p. I've only done some gaming on D4 and graphics on the native resolution on high setting looks good and runs smooth. Reflections and lighting effects are beautiful.
The only hiccups I had were maybe due my network connection lagging. Haven't had a chance to try any FPS yet.
The build is pretty solid. Top lid is metal and bottom case is plastic but it feels pretty solid with no flex that I noticed. Keyboard and keys had minimal flex when gaming. The trackpad is a good size and sometimes my hand hit the trackpad during gaming but I think there is a way to turn off the trackpad during gaming. Ports on side and mainly the back of the machine is handy.
Since this was my first PC gaming laptop (mainly mac guy), I consulted my friends who are PC users and they all recommended Lenovo's build quality. Some are going on 6 years with their laptops. I checked out the selection of laptops they had in the store and the Razor Blade laptops were nice but for the similarly spec'ed ones you are looking at $$$$.
As for the warranty, it comes with the most basic 1 year from Lenovo. There are two other higher tiered warranties that you can buy either from B&H or Lenovo. I just purchased it with a credit card that extends the warranty an extra year. There is not a lot of bloatware and the ones that do pop up, you can turn off.
As for B&H, I cannot comment on the return policy but after the price dropped, I called for a price adjustment and it was super quick and easy. They matched my order to my phone and offered a refund to my credit card. No questions asked.
TLDR: For a gaming laptop, its got good specs for a good price (better now that it is $100 cheaper). Size and battery may be a concern if you need to carry it around and cannot find a power outlet. Other than that, I have no regrets and feel I should have gotten a gaming laptop sooner.

For those who are doing price and feature comparison shopping some reviewers stated a 3070TI video card compares favorably to the 4070 with a decent discount:

So right now I'm hoping to score a Predator Helios 300 for a sub 900 ebay refurb price on BF (comparison for those interested [nanoreview.net]) however I am disappointed with the purported issues for this machine because I really love Lenovo laptops.
I may wait for the same machine at a similar price from a different retailer...
While I do work in IT and can fix lemons I'd rather not knowingly buy one...
Here's hoping it's just a software/firmware issue....

Just FYI, there is a ton of updates that needs to be done upon first boot up. Either from Microsoft, Nvidia or Lenovo, your first few boot ups is going to be updating the machine.
Hope this helps.
A friend of mine bought one yesterday.

I could go on and on, but head over to the Lenovo Community Forum and you can see what the on-going "trending" issues are with their Legion lineup.
I don't know what it is with the Legion, but their BIOS is always shit.
Never any issues with IdeaPads I buy for my family and parents, but I've been constantly burned with Legions and BIOS issues. Lenovo tech support always wants to blame Windows, but I call bullshit on that.

The first guy who posted about the crashes, I feel bad for him, but also according to popluar history on slickdeals, alot of ppl chime in on a thread about a product that seems similar to the one posted but in fact isnt. This is the same with this one too I'm betting. I'm betting he got the laptop that you also found reddit posts on.
The main thing is.. that laptop is not this laptop. This is the 13900HX model with 32GB of RAM and a 2175mhz 4070. It feeds about 280w, it's not going to have the same issues as the 13700HX model that most likely also comes with a 4060 and 16GB 4800mhz RAM. Also the 3070 Ti laptop u linked will not do DLSS FG and the only reason I'm looking at 40 series laptops is to get FG over my older Dell G15 RTX 3060 laptop.. it makes all the difference in playable fps vs sub-60 fps.
