hmm I think that's the same price I paid for this same TV last year. It's working great so far.

Same price as last year. I'm super happy with it. It's surpassed my expectations considering it was only $228 for 65" TV.

May be because I had a 1080p TV for the last 8 years. Not rich you see ...
So it isn't this TV that amazed you.. it is going from 1080p to 4K. This is important.

So my Samsung plasma has finally died and I'm looking for a cheap 50-55 to hold me over until I move and know if I need larger. I mostly watch average bitrate 1080p content from plex streaming using an apple TV (and occasional 4k from streaming services) so I don't care about smart features on the TV or anything like that. Which cheap set do you recommend for best picture quality for this content source? I was debating the 55A65K from Costco. Anything better around the same price? Willing to spend another $150 if substantially better quality.

Random help - if you're trying to get this to work with a Harmony remote, the model # isn't in their database yet. Use model 65S405 and it'll work.

It should come with the legs you need to set it on a table or a similar surface.

As far as brackets, all your TV mounts you buy should come with everything you need. The mounting holes in the back of the tv are a universal set standard.
Thanks for the information. I am thinking about getting SANUS Preferred 42"-90" Tilting TV Mount from Costco. I guess, i can reuse the mount for bigger TV later.

TV width is close to 57". Legs are close to the edge and slightly tilted. Safe to buy stand close to this length.

Just got this and initial impressions are not impressed with the viewing angle or blacklight bleed. Not sure if Im missing something but it also seems to have almost no options in the settings menus? I could accept it if it's the best/good option under $4-500 though.

The other main option seems to be the Samsung CU7000 for about $420, but I've read that is even worse than this TCL series 4. Tough to be sure, since this specific TCL 65S41R doesn't seem to give any Google results except from Walmart.

Got mine today. Fantastic picture! When you are watching a video, press the * button on your remote, this will open a menu, click picture settings, then change the picture mode from low power to standard. Then change the brightness from brighter to normal. You have to do this for every hdmi input.

I enhanced the picture without a guide, tweaking it to my liking, resulting in vibrant colors, clarity, and brightness. Unlike my previous monitor (Hisense), this TV doesn't suffer from backlight bleed issues, thanks to adjustments aligned with my preference for brightness and clarity.
What settings and numbers if you don't mind sharing? Will rep thanks
