So? Still on sale and $1 a pound with a rack. Some people might want this instead as they don't need 550 pounds of weights.

I've already got 30, 40 and 50 pound dumbbells. Why do I need to buy them again? This is perfect for someone like me or those who don't need the heavier weights and not spend an extra $280

I've had the selectable dumbell sets and I too cannot believe that its basically plastic that is used to hold the plates in place. Both my dumbells had the plastic that holds the plates in break while I was working out. Luckily I didn't injure anything.

Well, you make a good point and so do others. Typical resale even on something like Facebook marketplace for weights is at a minimum of $1/lb. So you could get this new set and sell your older ones for 1-2$ per lb.
