Probably someone who just needs a super cheap TV for their backyard (or bathroom laugh out loud) where the resolution doesn't make much of a difference for casual viewing.

I'm surprised 1080p panels are still produced at this size though. Maybe they're remnants from 86" 4K panels that had defects lol.

Exactly 0 things I watch are streamed or broadcast in 4K. And at this size, unless you are sitting really close, it won't matter

Interesting that during Black Friday of 2020 they had a very similar model (think it was 42") for like $80 iirc. Now, 2 years later, very similar if not identical specs, yet costing more lol.

Just to clarify, not saying this isn't a decent deal if you need one, but just think it's crazy that the sale prices for these have yet to go down after 3 years.

Would this work as a monitor? I have a home office/guest room and my wife would like a tv for guests, but I already have a monitor on my desk.
Thanks

What do you watch? laugh out loud

Anyway, rtings resolution/distance chart [rtings.com] shows for this size TV that 4K is worth it if sitting within 6ft or so, but personally I've noticed differences at longer distances, so I guess it depends on each person's vision.

Depends on the viewing distance. Unless it's fairly far away, it's probably not going to be a great monitor given its low pixel density.

Just bought a qled tv and reading the deals here make you feel like your a peasant if you don't spend 2k+ on an oled. This would be great for my gym.

I can't think anyone is making much money on this at this price, much less at $80.

Thanks for the reply. I'm mainly working on docs or sheets, nothing too graphic heavy.

This will work fine for that if you like sitting further away or have old eyes. The main thing is that the resolution will limit how much info you can have on the screen given the size. Like even though it's 43in, you probably will not want 2 documents side by side at this resolution

You can always try it since returning this should be pretty easy given its small size and low weight.
