Only $185 from Best Buy in open box - excellent condition. That's a considerable discount on top of a fine discount. There are worse conditions available too, but not at a price differential that makes it overly worthwhile. The open box - excellent is available in a few stores near me, but it's also available for shipping, at least at the moment.

As an outside speaker. I've used the 310 a few times already in my patio and garage while the kids are out playing. It's LOUD and they love the lights and sound affects.

I did that. I ordered both last time with brandsmart, partybox 310 and the 2 microphones, but they got cancelled. Mad I am guessing people already have their microphone like Shure sm58.

I'm 99% sure they changed software from the 000 series to 010 series so they won't function through the bluetooth multi-speaker/stereo modes. You'd have to run them through aux / wired.

Sound-wise, the big difference is the on the go only has one woofer. Also half the rated battery life. The on the go is still plenty capable but it's definitely a step down in terms of sheer output capability.

You can buy an inexpensive pair of wireless mics for drunken karaoke for less than $50 that similar in quality to the JBL pack-in, which looks nice but is nothing special. Dollar for dollar I'd buy a 110 and add the mics if you want that functionality. You can't buy an on-the-go and add output capacity. It'd be different if the on-the-go was significantly cheaper, but it's not.

For what it's worth I'm 1 gen behind and have two of the pb100's from slickdeals awhile back. I bought two but in the end taking one has always been enough for any sort of indoor or campfire type environment. I only take them both if there's a big area to cover, like a large backyard gathering.

if they had the mic already. they already had the speaker. i just wonder the other way. during that brandsmart sale, the mic was onsale for the same % off as well. but nobody mentioned it. i saw a buch of speakers waiting to pickup but none ordered a mic along with it like i did. i thought the mic wasnt a good deal.

Silly question that will probably earn ridicule... has anybody ever hooked one of these up via bluetooth to their TV to act as a "soundbar"? Surround, no, but with all the bass it seems like it would be a heck of a "2.1" so to speak. Or do $250 soundbars sound better than this? Just thinking you could have a decent TV speaker that you can move outside for parties. Smilie
