Was a huge skeptic about this thing and we did not plan on getting one, but we did, and I am absolute believer.

For anyone who doesn't know how it works. There is a microphone in it and depending on how loud the noise your baby makes is, it will respond by rocking at different speeds and playing varying levels of white noise to calm the baby down. It's actually incredible how quickly it responds and then goes back to a gentle or no rocking as soon as the baby calms down. There were countless nights when without it we would have had to get up and calm the baby down, but this thing did it instead. Ended up getting much more sleep over the 5ish months we used it.

I think we bought ours for around this much and sold it for 900 maybe. If you buy one in good condition used and don't destroy it, you will most likely be able to get all or most of your money back.

We plan on getting another one if whenever we have another kid.

If you end up having another baby, they're really not supposed to be sleeping through the night for the first several days at the very least. You're supposed to wake them up at least every 3 hours to feed them.

Oh, and congrats on the baby! Mine turns 1 week old tomorrow.

This machine screw up my kids sleep long term. Don't buy
agreed, babies have to wake up every 2 to 3 hours those first three months in order to feed. it's not easy but it needs to be done. i would do it all again a heartbeat. father of 4 here.

We had one kid pre Snoo and one in a Snoo. Total game changer and makes a massive difference in your sanity in the early months. Can't recommend enough. We bought new for $850 4+ years ago and re sold for $750

Didn't really help with any of our three kids. Good thing is they keep raising the price so we could sell it back for more than we bought it.

These are amazing and hold their value. We bought one at this price last year and sold it for $850. Highly recommend.
It's great that you sold it for $850 but people should be aware that it really depends on the condition of the product and whether you're selling extras (sheets and sleep sacks) with it. Prices can be as low as $700 for a used snoo in "good" condition.

still blows my mind why people want to procreate when they have to resort to using gadgets like this
Come on, why the toxic response? Don't knock things you don't choose to use. Allow people to use what works for their situation. If it gives parents rest and the child rest and everyone's happier what's the problem. I'm sure a full time wet nurse would help too but it's not available to everyone so let's be civil.

Where would you check this?
Likely your employer will have an employee benefits site. Most are through a benefit administrator like Alight, some maybe the same area as your HR profile. You can click around on the page where you set up your Health Insurance benefits.

Just another YMMV comment. We used one for our little one and it rarely worked for her. It gets progressively louder as they do so felt like was just blasting her with sound and rocked faster which pissed her off or scared her.

This is really it. Just depends. Our daughter has always been a good sleeper so this was unnecessary for us. But of course many will find good use for it. Luckily it does have good resale value so if you don't need it, you don't necessarily lose. Just helps with giving it a test drive.

That's because you're not paying attention. This has a microphone and rocks based on crying volume. You're obviously not a parent. Move on.
I'm a parent and for this price I'd expect it to bathe the kid too.

We used one of these with our youngest and we are convinced it did really help with sleep. We borrowed it from a friend as this wouldn't normally be in our budget. I believe there is also a way to rent these for several months but I haven't looked into it. The accompanying app was just ok, i often opted to just push the button to active it. Anyway it was a product that we genuinely thought helped and gave us a little more time to sleep.
Buying and reselling is a much better deal than renting.
