Was a huge skeptic about this thing and we did not plan on getting one, but we did, and I am absolute believer.

For anyone who doesn't know how it works. There is a microphone in it and depending on how loud the noise your baby makes is, it will respond by rocking at different speeds and playing varying levels of white noise to calm the baby down. It's actually incredible how quickly it responds and then goes back to a gentle or no rocking as soon as the baby calms down. There were countless nights when without it we would have had to get up and calm the baby down, but this thing did it instead. Ended up getting much more sleep over the 5ish months we used it.

I think we bought ours for around this much and sold it for 900 maybe. If you buy one in good condition used and don't destroy it, you will most likely be able to get all or most of your money back.

We plan on getting another one if whenever we have another kid.

If you end up having another baby, they're really not supposed to be sleeping through the night for the first several days at the very least. You're supposed to wake them up at least every 3 hours to feed them.

Oh, and congrats on the baby! Mine turns 1 week old tomorrow.

I'm a parent and for this price I'd expect it to bathe the kid too.
As a parent who's raised two babies in a Snoo, and in between babies lent it to three other families, let me tell you it's worth every penny. You're not paying for the technology, you're paying for the extra sleep.

Have a two week old newborn who's sleeping through the night from day one in this.
Oh no, that's not really a good thing. They need to be feeding every 3 hours.

Good article about the Snoo from Consumer Reports. With the new AAP recommendations it may be worth turning down the volume on these. https://www.consumerreports.org/b...587255697/

Some of these comments really scare me, newborns should not be sleeping through the night! For the first several months babies need to be woken up every ~3 hours or so to eat. They typically are not recommended to go a whole night without at least 1 feeding until 3-4 months.

While this device may be great if your baby has trouble sleeping in those windows, if you are using it for a hack to avoid being a parent you should not be raising children.

I was going to say that this price sounds insane...but having two kids and remembering the months of terrible sleep when they were young, I wish I'd had this. If you're not crazy cheap like me, it's probably worth it.

We bought two for our twins, they were a huge help at night. We restricted it from the highest rock setting as it seemed a bit much.

We got them on new on a Black Friday deal and sold them for what we paid roughly 5 months later when they transition to the cribs.

At the time (now almost 5 years ago) you could only operate one of these per phone so I had one on my and my spouse controlled the other with hers. Maybe they have fixed that now.

Wow.. inflation.... we got this back in 2020 for like 700 dollars + tax after 40% off (around this time of the year as well).

Regarding the actual unit. It is amazing. If you can afford it, I'd say it's one of the best purchases for a new born ever.

Also, holds up value well in the secondary resell market.

This machine screw up my kids sleep long term. Don't buy
That doesn't even make sense. It's white noise and rocking. It triggers the soothing reflexes. It can't screw up a kid long term. Baby and toddler sleep conditioning often reset, requiring re-training anyway, so I'd be skeptical of claims of long term impairment.

The only unusual effect I've seen the snoo have is that my newborn doesn't wake up from wet diapers while in the snoo. Which is fine because he's usually within an hour of his next feeding anyway. And that is great for our sleep.

This comes with a free Snoobie (usually $42 on sale), automatically added to cart. If you prefer the teal color Snoobie over the grey, you can add and delete in your cart and it will adjust.

Most accessories are on sale for some of the best prices of the year too.
