I still remember the year that two trailer trash women went at each other in the doll aisle over some discounted Rainbow High dolls. They were screaming and cursing at each other, and their kids were crying. You don't get raw human emotion like that from online shopping.
They haven't had a B2G1 sale on CD's in over a year.... Was excited until I realized they barely have 1,500 titles to offer.... It was 5k+ a year ago.... Hopefully Amazon matches with a larger selection.
The only thing that looked like an "ok" deal was the Xbox.... It's interesting that Sony thinks they can still sell their system at full price....
So, Black Friday is the whole week now in stores? I saw the little section at the end that had the exclusive three day weekend deals, and none of them really seemed worth going into a store for. I kind of miss when Black Friday was just a single day. Because, now that they are making it a week long event, and sometimes a month long event in the case of some stores, the deals just aren't as good as they used to be. Also, saying "select games" and "select toys" are 50% off, and then only showing us two or three examples is not a good way to get people to come into the stores and shop. Those LOL Surprise dolls that are 40% off for Black Friday have been 50% or more off in the past (as a random example). Not just for Black Friday, but like a month ago.

Sony just released a brand new model of the PS5 with extra storage, and an extra USB port. That's why they are charging $500. It comes with 250gb more storage space than the base model. I also believe that it comes with either a copy of Spider-Man 2 or the new Call of Duty. Saving you $70 on buying the game.

Westinghouse is a poop brand, I wouldn't bother getting this. Was really hoping this would be the Black Friday where OLED TVs would be doorbusters.
you get what you paid for. if you are going to buy a 70 inch tv at least spend a little more for a name brand like Sony, TCL etc. this is just my suggestions

Is TCL in same league as sony??
Not the same but TCL makes decent TVs for the money. Sony makes the best TVs as far as picture quality and color. Check out this website for reviews on TVs.
TCL is the top Chinese television brand, and Sony is the top Japanese television brand. Both companies also make many other kinds of technology, like phones, and computers, and all different kinds of things.
$200 doesn't seem too steep to try the world of VR, what are your favorite things on VR, what do you recommend trying?
I'm worried I'd be buying so many games for my kids, whereas with their console, I just have game pass ultimate, which I got for pretty cheap during a stacking deal.
It really isn't honestly. I am pretty sure they're losing money on hardware at the price point they're selling the Quest 2 at, expecting to recoup through software.
I believe Meta is releasing a "Quest Pass" soon that should be similar to Xbox Game Pass. That said, I agree, Game Pass is such a great value. Not sure how Meta's will compare.
I tend to do a bit of everything, I would say rhythm games (Beat Saber, Supernatural, Pistol Whip...Pistol Whip is my fav) definitely have the most replayability, and they're better for people who are sensitive to motion sickness. There are a lot of good fully featured games (Walking Dead Sinners & Saints, Asgard's Wrath, Half-Life Alyx, etc...) but they usually have some sort of locomotion involved which some people are prone to motion sickness when doing. Some people don't have the issue (me), but my understanding is you can "learn" your VR legs and eventually motion sickness should not be a thing. Even just watching streaming on it is nice if you don't have a big home theater setup it kind of emulates that.
I live in a very small college town, and all that we have is a Target. All of the college kids go away for thanksgiving, so I am usually one of maybe 50 people that show up to shop Black Friday there. I am usually front of the line as long as I show up an hour before they open. Sometimes you just want to buy stuff and take it home with you, instead of waiting multiple days for it to get shipped to you, and possibly damaged in the mail. It's been a few years since I have had a package from Target that wasn't damaged in the mail, or missing something that I ordered, or was not the thing that I ordered, and I ended up having to go into a store to return it and get my money back. So, why not cut out the middle man, and just go into a store? It saves time. And, if you are lazy, they will even bring it out to your car for you now. Plus, watching people fight can be fun. There's a really weird nervous energy on Black Friday, where we all try to be civil, but in the back of our minds we are all thinking, "Am I going to have to kill this elderly woman for this $10 Blu Ray player?"

Big city people call that the good old days.
