This doesn't appear like the location for gun deals. Any suggestions where to look?

There really aren't any gun deals anymore but you can look at guns.deals. I use Impactguns.com as a baseline when I go to gun shows because TBH they're usually the cheapest. Gun shows suck now tho there are no deals at all. Just stick to those two sites and that's about as good as it gets. If you're military you can use ExpertVoice to get pro deals and you're not really going to beat that.
Try a local gun store. By the time you ship it and pay transfer fees the savings usually wash out.
Very much not true. Most online gun sites like Palmetto or Impactguns have free shipping sales and are much cheaper than local places. If you can find a $20 FFL transfer you're set. I never even look at local places anymore. They're literally twice the price off online sites a lot of the time.
i mean, they have a forum just for firearms. there just arent enough people posting deals to it for it to be active.
Used to be pretty active, I would to check here daily, had deal alerts set up, and got in on some good gun and ammo deals. I posted a lot too.
Then this section got hidden, deals here weren't allowed to go front page. I guess gun deals offended someone's feelings? That caused the 1st drop in traffic. Eventually it got unhidden and it started to pick up a bit. I posted a gun deal, then it disappeared after a couple of days. Other gun deals disappeared too, guys were asking questions. That's when we found out gun deals were now forbidden in forum rules update. So nope, this isn't "a forum just for firearms", quite the opposite, gun deals are verboten here.
So yeah, don't bother to check here much, I'll only come by if I'm checking the general forum for a deal on something I'm looking to buy. Miss the old days when this section was hopping and there were a lot of good deals posted.
Cliffs: this section got murdered and it was intentional.

Slickdeals became heavily anti-gun after ownership change, that forum was created so that firearm related deals would not be allowed in Hot deals forum

to OP's question,
ironically Slickdeals sued [courtlistener.com] slickguns and took over its domain (which later rebranded to gun.deals)
