Conversely - if you have a giant head like me, the Steelseries 7 was a rare headset that fit me comfortably rather than other headphones that compressed my head and gave me headaches after wearing them for long periods of time.

My experience with the 7P+ put me off of these headphones. The fit was very loose and the mic gets lapped by several competitors these days. However, this is a solid price if your budget is 100 for decent gaming cans.

Are SteelSeries discontinuing this headset? When I checked their website, the line up doesn't show the Arctis 9's, except in the website's outlet. I'd go for these, but I'd rather wait for the Pro's with replaceable batteries. I have about 6 wireless headsets and know it will be a headache when the batteries eventually fail. Having batteries that can be swapped out would be nice!

Being able to play and hear my phone on Bluetooth is awesome having a good 5ime with these headphones and the Velcro strap on top they fit perfectly every time

I have the Arctis 9X. Worst headset I've ever owned. My $20 Amazon headset is more user friendly and even sounds better than this junk.

Ended up getting the Nova 7's for around the same price. I think rtings compared these two and gave the Nova 7's the slight edge on sound and battery. And it comes with an analog cable too if you wanna use them wired. However, I don't normally see the Nova 7's around $100. An eBay store had one left brand new for $100. It was also part of their BOGO sale and I got an Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller for free.
