I had the 9x (Xbox version) and they were absolutely terrible. Constantly dropped connection, mic was sub par, and they ended up breaking at the earpiece.

Went with RIG 800's to replace them and they were infinitely better. Buyer beware of Steelseries IMO.

Yeah, I'm in this category as well. I have a 7+ that is the most comfortable set of headphones that I have ever owned. The sound quality on them is pretty good as well for listening to music. That said, the 7+ has a lot better sound quality than the 9 according to Rtings:

I sold my 7 for the 7+ and have used over the past year (ps5, switch, android phone etc). Awesome headset, very good sound and battery life...no complaints!

Just throwing this out there cause everyone dogging on arctic. Ive got 2 pairs of the 3s. Bought the 2nd cause it was on sale although my first pair is going strong. 2nd pair still in the box. I get compliments about my mic clarity all the time. I can chew food without it picking up the sound, and the audio quality is better than several other headsets Ive had in the $50-$100 range. Sure, its corded, but i dont mind

All of the comments are negative but this is a front page deal? Am I missing something? I want to give this to 2 young boys that are hard on their gear. Will this last better than the $40 logitechs that come up? Is the value in the price difference? The phone feature seems cool, but I know I have Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 with a dual bluetooth connection and it's mostly just dumb. Really annoyed it's not USB-C. What is the right answer in this budget range?

I try to watch for it off and on, it's frequently sold out everywhere, so I've wondered the same for a while. That said the Nova 7 looks like it's the eventual replacement based on it being the new one with dual inputs (it's on sale for $135 on Amazon right now too). Now that the 9 is cheap (and in stock) maybe I should finally upgrade from my 2019 edition 7, though I'm not sure which one I'd go with.

I need this! I love over the ear headsets but every single one I've tried so far made has given me headache... they just put so much strain on my ears
