So, no Pro models or the 15. Does anyone know if the 14 Plus qualifies?

Edited: for all of you waiting on the resolution of this burning question, chat agent said 14 plus does qualify

Unlocked Vs carrier? I'm not clear where the additional $30 is coming from for unlocked. I don't want a credit check that's listed kn carrier options.

Apple don't need to discount their hot selling items. Not discounting the iPhone 15 was a brilliant move on part of Apple. If they had discounted the same, then the people who got the 15 in the last 1-2 months would have had a buyers remorse.
People will keep buying Apple devices even at full prices. They don't make shitty devices like the ones on the Android platform and so don't need to discount heavily (look at the resale market to see how Apple devices hold value).

Online only. Apple balance sucks since they love to lock the balance for no reason. I had to literally call them up and un redeem all the gift cards back to cards to purchase and even then they didn't let me use full Apple gift cards. I had to leave about $25 in credit card for the purchase to go through

I tried, but I didn't do bestbuy. I UNSUCCESFULLY tried to do Target twice, selecting different card colors, and it added it to the card and went thru, but only added one gift card.

Got $15 Target, $15 Amazon, and $50 apple gift card.

This is how Apple does "sales" every year for at least the past 5 years. They offer gift cards for a few, but not latest, models on Black Friday.

The best deals are for the student ones in late summer. Otherwise Apple itself doesn't discount. Probably try other retailers (e.g. Costco, Bestbuy, B&H, etc) if you want better deals.

Probably the only reason one would buy from Apple directly is because you've got lots of gift cards or credit with Apple, like from a trade-in or buying Apple gift cards at a discount from other vendors.
