Ordered on Amazon yesterday for $34.97 (son's birthday is today). Asked about a price adjustment and was told the only option was return / rebuy, so put in the return request and ordered from Best Buy out of spite. As an (admittedly small) AMZN shareholder, this policy is beyond stupid.

unfortunately no charm after changing the label to FC... I hope Fifa (I realize they are corrupt) picks up Konami and builds this line out with them.

I've had the same experience and was told the same thing. They wouldn't honor their own much lower price within the return period. What's most upsetting is the immense waste of resources to ship junk back and forth.

I agree. But then I imagined the amount of hours they would spend on price adjustments clogging up an already busy customer support. They specialize and do a damn great job at logistics. The trucks running are already running anyway so they made it a 2 way street. But I still think it's a waste. I ordered a phone on Thursday and the price dropped $140 on Friday. I already know their price match policy so I started the return then reordered.

The reasons companies do this nonsensical behavior is to game the system when reporting total sales at a particular price point. They can claim all sales including this return on their reports which drives their stock prices up as a measure of performance. So there is no incentive to price match on a completed sale. Easier for then to accept the return and its associated costs.

That sucks dude. I ordered from Target 13 days ago and had them price match it to Amazon.com where it was 44.99. Today I contacted Target via chat and they were able to price match to Best Buy price of 29.99 with no issue.
