I felt that Nioh is more forgiving than from software games and you can grind out levels early (if you are into it) by replaying missions

There's a perpetual rhythm-type stamina restoration system that you can't ignore, multiple stances for each weapon, magic systems, transformation systems, three entirely separate skill systems (not skill trees — entire systems. Each one has its own trees), constant loot drops and upgrades …
It's truly miserable to play unless you dedicate a full time job's worth of time to it.
Not saying this is an easy game, of course, but it's a far cry from 'dedicating a full time job'. $20 is a steal for this, one of the best action RPGs released in last 10 years.
A lot of mechanics and items you can ignore...or not if you want to try different things. These games do have a lot of stats on items which can lead you to have to look up what they do. They probably took it too far in Wo Long. They did up their level/map design.
I don't think the world needs a Nioh 3 though. Wo Long started out rough but I gradually started to like it more (currently in the middle of playing it). I'm still looking forward to their new game next year which gives Rurouni Kenshin vibes. I do kinda hope it leans in the direction of Lies of P but I'm guessing they're going to stick to their formula.
