they are getting bad in the second season of christmas time....hit or miss 4 out of 8 will work in the 2nd year.
My problem with these are they are just slightly bigger in diameter than a normal AA battery. It just makes them a pain to put in or take out of certain things, like my keyboard.
Ikea and Eneloop are the way to roll.

This is a good price, but honestly I've never had much luck with the last few Amazon Basic batteries, the charge never seems to last long and they get increasingly worse over a few months of use.

Those duracells were not rechargeable I'm assuming. Did you actually have rechargeable batteries that leaked in your experience? I thought you mentioned that you have had experience with rechargeable batteries that leaked.
You literally just quoted my post that said this a few hours ago. I just underlined it. What part of these are terrible don't people understand? Buy them if you want. Have fun. To the people saying they bought them 3-8 years ago, those were different batteries. Amazon Basics used to be decent years ago. Different supplier.

"In this case a few days ago, I was lucky and the amazon basics battery was leaking just sitting in the drawer that I use to rotate charged batteries when needed."

Ikea is 2 hours away for me and both times I've been in the last few years they had 0 LADDA batteries in stock. Super frustrating. Does anyone have luck finding them?
Ikea ships to my Walgreens for pickup. I'm about 90 minutes from Ikea.

The words you underlined didn't say anything about rechargeable batteries.
It is you that don't know how to express, not other people not understanding.

My bad, I will underline the rest of the sentence that clears that up? I thought it was clear that you don't rotate one time use batteries.

Fantastic!! And right on time. Thank you very much OP !!

After years of eneloop and then EBL I am buying these and all of them are working great for me.

If you have kids toys then it's a no brainier.

I stopped buying Costco alkalines and have been sticking to these. No more leaky mess and filling the landfill with damaged toys.

No, it still doesn't clear that up.
What you used to rotate or switch out charged batteries can be either non-rechargeable or rechargeable batteries. You could put non-rechargeable batteries in your device while you were waiting for the rechargeable batteries to charge fully, and it could be called "rotate charged batteries".

It was really not clear whether your leaked batteries were rechargeable or not in your original post.

I had about 100 AA/AAA rechargeable batteries for like 10 years and never had a single one leaking. I only had a few that stopped charging and one melted in my charger and destroyed my charger.

Bah...I tried the Ikea ones and 2 failed within the first 3 months. Eneloop is really the only one that's reliable from my experience. The Energizer is also looking pretty good, but I've only had it for a few months so cannot comment on reliability yet.

I haven't had too many older Energizers die, the Duracell Ion that had the full metallic green wrap were the worst, more of those died than the Harbor Freight ones.

I have an Eastshine S2 charger which is a knockoff, but I don't know what the actual legit branded one is. The Panasonic CC-17 is super sensitive to slightly degraded batteries, but plenty of them will charge normally in the Eastshine. Once they only charge for 30 minutes to full or it can't tell if it's NiMH or Li-On (keeps blinking back and forth) then I know they're actually dead. If I hadn't gotten the Eastshine I would have recycled a lot of batteries that were still ok to use, just not perfect. So I kind of wonder how many people have tossed mostly-fine batteries because the CC-17 and the worthless 2-at-a-time chargers that come with Energizers and Duracells said they were bad.

Yes ! Good value but they do not fit well or at all in some of my flashlights and other devices .. The Amazon AA cells are just a bit too big in diameter.

I have had leaking batteries destroy a device, specifically an xbox controller. Acid and pcb boards aren't great friends

Interesting ..I have about 30 of Amazon rechargeable AA and AAA and has not yet to experience leakage . They are good value but bigger in diameter compare to other rechargeable and may not fit in some devices. Just a heads up.

What charger to use for these?
I've used this one for 4 years now and it's fine. Kind of slow but if you've got a decent stock and you're not pressed to recharge quick it's cheap.

I also have a 4 bay Xtar charger that I use for 18650s and 21700s that I sometimes throw a pair of AAs on if I'm in a pinch.

I had problems with them not holding a charge long and were bigger in dia a little so they did not want to fit in a radio. YMMV

I have had excellent results with Enloop.
