I will say I skipped on this because I don't want that particular motherboard. Its an ok motherboard, but if Im gonna bother upgrading to a 78003XD I want Gen5 PCie. Also want more m.2 slots
14700k combo also $50 cheaper (from $550 to $500).

The "problem" with these bundles is the MBs and RAM aren't the best.
Looks like I'm making a trip to Microcenter this weekend

I really do wish they would build more stores, I love everything about them!

Not quite, they replaced the Tomahawk with a much cheaper motherboard to get to that lower price, so worse deal than the past couple of weeks.

This 7800x3d combo price is more reasonable, but best situation is getting the CPU for $300 (if it comes back) and then getting whatever RAM and motherboard you want. The RAM is $35ish open box, and after trying the MSI motherboard open box, I can definitely say it's not worth $150. Even with the lower quality other components, it's still the best combo deal overall.

Is this ok to stream with Plex or will it be bad because it's not Intel?

Whats wrong with that motherboard? I just bought it for 150 in another bundle as the reviews seemed good.

Stopped by my local MicroCenter and the return rack was full of these specific parts. I keep reading that they're not the best but, what exactly does that mean? I just want to play Hogwarts Legacy

Echo effect. People jump on the bandwagon when they see negative reviews despite never using one themselves.

Some people have reported not getting their rated RAM speeds, but the RAM I got from this bundle works fine. But if you read all the comments, it seems like its more of a RAM specific issue.

If you don't have any issues, dont flash the BIOS. Its sometimes far more trouble than its worth. Some people experienced issues with stability/ booting after flashing their BIOS.

The mobo is priced to be budget/affordable, so it's going to lose some features compared to the higher end mobos. The biggest feature loss is the lack of the newer PCIe 5.0 for the NVME and for the graphics card. If you plan to help future-proof, you need to get another B650 mobo that supports 5.0. If you want to just play Hogwarts Legacy the most important component is your graphics card then the monitor resolution to prevent hitching. This cpu/mobo can play Hogwarts Legacy with no issues as long as you have the graphics card (12gb vram requirement).

Just came out yesterday with comparisons.
This 7800x3d is definitely worth it for almost everything (placing podium in almost every chart).
I would buy it, but my 5800X3d has done so well for the last year and is still up there with the best. I'll probably be waiting for the next generation before it's worth it.

I personally couldn't get mine to work due to BIOS issues, but even besides that, it's the lower end chipset, leading to less ports and lack of PCIE 5.0. I don't think it's a big deal for SSDs, but could make a difference for graphics cards in a few years. Visually, it's about the plainest looking motherboard around and looks and feels cheap compared to higher end boards that you can find open box for $100-200. Anything I say about reliability, stability and compatibility is just speculation, so if you have read good reviews on those subjects, great!

Nothing is WRONG with it, I'm sure it's fine for most, but if you're going to have something for 5-10 years and potentially upgrade the CPU again at the end of the AM5 lifecycle, it's odd to have the cheapest possible thing be at the center. I did it with my AM4 motherboard, and it's what made me decide to upgrade to AM5 instead of grabbing a 5800x3d to run for a few years.
