Just a reminder to combo these sales with the PS gift card discounts for Black Friday. Target has 10% off cards starting Sunday. Amazon usually does 10 - 15% off with a Prime card as well. Costco usually does 20% (but sells out fast).

I ended up using the AMEX / Amazon points promo to buy $150 in PS physical gift cards for $90. Which means a 40% discount on all the current BF sale pricing for me.

I'm not sure why anyone would pay $30 for the PS5 version of Horizon: Forbidden West, when the ps4 version is $20 and comes with a free digital upgrade to the ps5 version. There doesn't appear to be any difference in product, unless I'm missing something.
Also, the burning shores dlc is on sale for $13.

I bought Squadrons for $2 last year. Played it for 10mins in VR. It was fun, but never played it again.

I have an expired ps plus FF7 Remake on PS4. I'd like to finish it on PS5. With the way save transfer works, could I buy the PS4 version, upload the cloud save, then upgrade to PS5 for free?

This is the worst BF sale I've ever seen on PSN. The only real deals are for PS4 games that are 5+ years old, otherwise most of the deals are the same as usual sales or maybe slightly more. And a lot of games from 2023 just aren't on sale at all. I have a big wishlist of games and nothing is on sale except Hogwarts Legacy, which still isn't lower than previously and came out 9 months ago. Sony has been so stingy this gen with sales, especially their awful PS Plus prices or "sales".

I'm holding off buying anything until the Holiday sale which usually comes around Xmas time. Hopefully they add some more games released this year.

I got in on PC free and did the same. It was a great VR implementation too - worth $2 just to try.

I figured it was just that I don't have reflexes or friends to play with that I stopped.

HFW PS5 $30 does not include the DLC. Complete Edition w/ DLC is $39.59.

Get a 1TB or 2TB SATA SSD to replace your internal drive, 2TB costs about $80-$90.

Or an external 1TB-2TB SSD. Should cost about the same.

Ugh. Bought Minecraft Heroes Edition. Now there's an Ultimate edition. Why can't they do what steam does.. prorate the sale. It makes for goodwill. I have so much resentment.

Look at the Crucial MX 500 deals on Slickdeals. They work great on a PS4.

I really miss going out and getting steeply discounted games for black friday. The close all retail on thanksgiving ruined it. This was already occuring before the Ronaverse. There's no incentive for competition now between big retailers to get people in the door. I don't find going through a digital catalog fun.
