Also this is a better deal than the older gen that was front page last week - 7640HS vs 7735HS - 4nm vs 6nm - better graphics Zen4 vs Zen 3+, higher clock AMD Radeon 760M vs 680M

Much better mini pc with better ports etc.

No PC knowledge here. Is this good for a 10 year old who wants to play Fortnite, Minecraft and Roblox? Trying to get a PC and keep it relatively under $500

I was looking at the Beelink Ser6Max 1tb 32gb ram for about $430+tax. This would be about the same price but with better specs of course. But AZ has better return policy and I wouldn't have to buy a copy of Windows. Not sure how much Windows 11 is these days. Decision decision....
I have the exact same thoughts as you. I've been watching the SER6 ever since I missed the $300 deal last week. I don't see this $430 deal though; can you share link? The ones for $430 all seem to be 16GB.

I have it in the cart and one day I saw it for $469 - $40 coupon. I didn't bite because I was waiting for it to hit under $400. It's gone now but I'm sure it'll come back.

The newer 7640HS and 7940HS are better chips and use 4nm process over the 7735HS which uses 6nm

Any idea will this be further discounted during the upcoming BlackFriday/CyberMonday? Or is this the deal for this holiday?

How do these stack against an i7 12700T or the 13 th gen. I tried doing a compare online and could not understand the results. Any help is greatly appreciated! Also whats the return policy with them?

Similar CPU scores but the GPU on the AMD 7640HS is much better - so if you're not looking to add a separate GPU and video performance is important the AMD is a better chip - it's also much more energy efficient

For $350 it's a great start - a lot of features for small $$$$ - only chip I'd do is the 7940HS but not worth $200 (60%) more to me for the performance boost… I would have loved the better GPU though!

I would recommend to avoid Minisforum. Quality control is so low that it becomes a gambling. I had much better luck with Beelink.

I've had the opposite experience - beelink I had to return. No issue with minisforum but with both Chinese companies I'm sure it's an issue but there's not much to go wrong with these

I wanted an i5 processor & not looking for any heavy GPU activity. I also had inputs from a friend who works for Intel. He preferred i5 12th Gen over AMD Ryzen. i5 processors have more computing workflows than AMD Ryzen. The difference is greater in the peripherals like motherboard, etc. I'm not an expert in designing processors, so I'm not able to articulate properly.
