I've been wanting to try these and at $30'ish it is an impulse price for sure.
You will need a new carrying case especially if you want to travel with the controllers attached.
Negatives:
No rumble
No wireless support
No amiibo support
Extra purchase to be able to use it as a wired controller
Will take more space if you travel with controller attached
Pros:
Feels great (the reinforcement around the joycon rails makes it have very little play)
Turbo buttons (1 for each side of the controller)
Can still dock while attached (oled for me)
