Bought the Q Revo a few months ago when it was on sale for $800 and it is completely worth it in my opinion. We moved into a home with hardwood floors and we run it every two days. It does a fantastic job picking up regular dust and sweeps pretty well into the corners. The lidar and tracking system is very accurate and you can even program it to clean in the same orientation as your hardwood floors per each room. I especially like that it vacuums and mops in hard to reach places like under the bed and couch.
We do spend about 3 mins in the morning picking things off the ground so the Revo can do a thorough job cleaning the rooms. We have yet to change the vacuum bag and adding more water and dumping the dirty water is done about once a week. We can tell that the mopping function is doing its job well because before the used water used to be pretty dirty, but quickly it's turned into just slightly murky water due to its constant use. Once a month or two months it notifies you that the cleaning/drying tray should be cleaned, which is just running it through water.
What I don't like about it is that it doesn't do a good job tracking cords and sometimes gets caught up and stops. We've fixed that problem by taping the cords to the walls.
Can we do a better job vacuuming and mopping manually? Of course... But we don't clean every two days and with both parents working and having a 2.5 yo child, the revo has been very helpful to our family.
What sold me on the S8 pro for $1200 vs the S7 pro is the lifting of the roller when it's in mop mode. I have an S5 max with mop and it's great but it streaks like crazy.
If we don't go with the auto empty on any idea how long does it take to fill up. Just wondering if it makes sense to shed those extra $. Also is there option to buy extra warranty
Can't comment directly. Vacuum Wars on YouTube is a good resource for direct comparisons. At 675 Q Revo is a steal for the features. Little to no difference to S7max ultra and arguably better mopping function.

Thanks so much repped. people use the best card u have to get few extra years of warranty , i used master/chase for 2+ extra years. CSR and gold i have but i might cancel them this year.
Any thoughts on the S8 Pro Ultra vs the ECOVACS DEEBOT X2 Omni for $1045?
I bought a X2 and returned it. Vacuum worked well but the software wasn't nearly as good. Ecovacs software made the robot move like a drunk idiot, no real pattern. Just bought a refurbished S8 pro ultra off eBay when they were running a$100 off coupon to get the 2 year warranty. Ended up costing me $1154 after taxes with free shipping. Much happier with the software with Roborock.

I have a Q7 Max which is still within the return window but without the base station. I bought it during the previous sale for $350. Should I get the Q5 pro+ which comea with the base station for another $100? Is the vacuuming and mopping superior in Q7 than the Q5?
