Bought the Q Revo a few months ago when it was on sale for $800 and it is completely worth it in my opinion. We moved into a home with hardwood floors and we run it every two days. It does a fantastic job picking up regular dust and sweeps pretty well into the corners. The lidar and tracking system is very accurate and you can even program it to clean in the same orientation as your hardwood floors per each room. I especially like that it vacuums and mops in hard to reach places like under the bed and couch.

We do spend about 3 mins in the morning picking things off the ground so the Revo can do a thorough job cleaning the rooms. We have yet to change the vacuum bag and adding more water and dumping the dirty water is done about once a week. We can tell that the mopping function is doing its job well because before the used water used to be pretty dirty, but quickly it's turned into just slightly murky water due to its constant use. Once a month or two months it notifies you that the cleaning/drying tray should be cleaned, which is just running it through water.

What I don't like about it is that it doesn't do a good job tracking cords and sometimes gets caught up and stops. We've fixed that problem by taping the cords to the walls.

Can we do a better job vacuuming and mopping manually? Of course... But we don't clean every two days and with both parents working and having a 2.5 yo child, the revo has been very helpful to our family.

As I said, it's not for you, so don't buy it. It's that simple. Not sure why you are being so argumentative.

I'm looking to replace my Q7 Max with a model that does a better job identifying and avoiding dog poop on hard wood floors. Does this model have the necessary intelligence? Is there a better alternative? Thank you.

Bought a Roborock S8 Pro Ultra yesterday from Best Buy for the same $1199.99. It might be the best $1200 I've ever spent, and I've had the thing one day.

…I need to do a better job picking up all the damn cat toys and USB cables though 😹

I reviewed these on YouTube. I have two cats and a s4 for years. I was going to get s7 ultra, but could not justify the price difference. I went w the revo and a 3 year service plan for $70.

The biggest difference is obstacle avoidance. If you have a dog that poops inside, spend the money on obstacle avoidance.

In for a Q Revo for hardwood floors and tile. Recently gifted my trusty S4 to a robot-is-not-for-me type and looking forward to this sweet upgrade.

Roborock S6. Parents have the S7V Max Ultra. The best one you can get. Gets stuck on the carpet all the time. Hits objects, etc. S6 is no match for pet hair. Even after 2 passes. Good for light work, but any REAL cleaning, you are better off using a Dyson for $400. You'll finish the entire house in a fraction of the time the robot can do. $1200 for me to still have to vacuum after is not good. Should be priced under $300 since it can't beat a $400 vacuum.
I have S6 and hand held Dyson too.

We never use the Dyson anymore because it's too much work. Sometimes for spot cleaning in areas where S6 couldn't reach, but it's night and day difference. It gets stuck sometimes, so you just address that area, it's more than worth it.

Just bought the S7 Max Ultra during BF, can't wait. I'd pay double the price because of the time it saves me.

I just got my reboot. It would have been nice to know it only used OXO floor cleaner.

If you want what will be the Q Revo Pro, Dreame has their L20 Ultra on their website for 1049.99 with free shipping and no tax. There's also an immediate 10% off coupon you can apply if you're a new buyer. Also they take PayPal you can stack the 5% Freedom Flex category.
Good luck with customer service or warranty

Looks like you woudn't have to pick those up at all if you had bought the Dreame L20 ultra, from all the reviews I've come across.

Experts, any views on how the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra compares to Dreame L20 Ultra ? Couldn't find any youtube videos on the comparison
I've watched/read all reviews on L20 for 2 days. my conclusion was the L20 is a little better all around especially object avoidance. but you can't go wrong with the S8.

Just a warning in Roborock in general. Their warranty support is terrible. They will push you back to the retailer, i.e. Amazon, Woot, etc. If you need warranty through Roborock, they will make you ship it (on your own dime) to China. Their support is China based, so you'll be lucky to get a response once every day or two, in the middle of the night in the USA. My S5 Max broke (software error loop) after 18 months randomly. No physical damage and sensors regularly cleaned. It just won't boot up.

Crazy considering how much you're paying here. I'd stick w/ Costco from now on and buy Shark or iRobot.

For people who have had multiple versions of the Roborock, is it worth it to have the self-empty and mopping pad cleaning dock? I am debating to get a vacuum and mop robot but do not know how much work involving cleaning the mop pad? Do you have to clean it multiple times during 1 mop? TiA
if you get the Ultra dock, it has auto-self cleaning and auto-self drying of the mop pad.

But I didn't have a dock, and it's manual process to replace/clean the mop pad. I mean, it got old after a while, so this BF, I upgraded to S7 Max Ultra to get the dock. Before I had S6 that worked great... it's a night and day difference from manual Dyson.

Yes, it's best to buy from US based stores such as Amazon, Lowes, etc. They will at least take your returns and deal with it for you.

That's only for the initial return period I assume? I did get one from Amazon .. mailing it to China for any warranty related issues sounds insane!
