This would be mainly appreciated by Gaming enthusiasts and is mainly aimed at streamers.
Some things to note:
- Despite Best Buy and Corsair stating the brightness to be 600+ nits, reviews show it's only a bit over 500 nits
- This is Corsair's first ever attempt at a gaming laptop and they've done a bang-up job (according to reviews linked below).
- The RX 6800M sits somewhere between the 3070 and 3080
- Despite being an AMD config. it does have Thunderbolt 3 support
- Despite not being as thin and light as the ASUS G series, it's still quite light for its' size and components
- It has a wireless receiver in-built to the motherboard which can connect to Corsair products (such as a wireless mouse) without the need to plug in a USB transmitter/dongle

So compare this to other 4070 laptops available at $1k. It's the other features you want to look at - the mechanical keyboard, all-metal build, screen quality and brightness, etc.
I would personally love a laptop with a 6800M - but this one has some big issues.

Edit: I'm not saying it's bad, but 10-15% lower FPS than 6700xt on average. Pretty dang good deal for $1000. I'm considering grabbing it myself.
The keyboard is awesome as I love the feel of the keys and just like the clickity-clack of them.
Drivers. Well, they suggest you use Corsair drivers, but Corsair has not been really up to date on some of their drivers, especially for the GPU, so I installed the Radeon drivers and have not noticed any issues. I am not real fond if the space between the screen and base, but it does make it sit a little higher. The weight is nice. Can add a second M.2 if wanted. They don't offer a 2nd power supply to buy, which kind of sucks, so have to go 3rd party route.
No Headaches yet and I have owned it since Amazon Days a month or so ago and am happy with the purchase and would do it again.

And as you said, that's without taking Frame Generation into account.
That being said, I ended up buying it haha.
P.S. - Does this GPU requires a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to run in full power, like in the ASUS G15 AE?

I would buy this, too, if I needed a laptop right now. I'm trying to milk my 1660ti equipped laptop for another year though (the battery is balls but otherwise runs excellent).
I'm not sure about the USB-C DP to run at full power question to be honest.. enjoy!
