It's way less of a concern with an electric mower as they are so light compared to gas, but I like self-propelled as I have a sloped yard.

That's not really an issue on a 18inch battery mower. I've got very steep sloes in my yard and its not an issue with a 21" greenworks lawn mower. I might get a self propelled one in the future but its more stuff to break and use more power too.

My 5 yr old was able to push it.

I have the 80v kobalt and I beg to differ.

This is 18" lightweight garden mower, not a 21" top of the line. We are probably talking under 35lbs. on wheels. Most able bodied people are going to be fine with that in a flat yard.

Any recommendations on extra batteries or cheap tools that come with extra interchangeable batteries? TIA

I believe it. I have a 17 inch electric mower which is not self propelled and weighs 34 pounds. I often push it with just one hand, and the effort required to mow the grass is about the same as pushing a trolley around a supermarket.

I started with a push gas mower, then got a self propelled kobalt, and now an ego... and I have to say I pretty much only used the self propelled when I first got the mowers and hardly since. The areas that I mow add up to about 1/3 acre and 2 of the 3 are oddly shaped, so maybe that's why, but just never enjoyed the benefits of self propelled, even with the ego's speed iq or whatever it's called which worked well when i used it. I thought it was a deal breaker for me when I was buying electric, but I'd say it's not even a "nice to have" feature for me any more.

I guess this is 35lbs and mine is 70lbs so maybe that is why I couldn't live without it.

Reviews saying they burnt out their batteries within a couple months. I probably wouldn't get this if you have anything more than a tiny yard lol.

I'm sure this model is bottom of the barrel, but for $125... even if it only lasts for the warranty period. Seems like a good deal if you only have a tiny city lot to cut.
