Last time I bought this (in October) for the same price, it arrived with a bunch of little pinhole sized paint marks on it. I ended up returning it. Debating if I want to try round 2 LOL
I see an open box for $316, but no $279 guitars on their site. Lots and lots of ad-friendly redirects tho.
Try adding "&emailprice=t" to the base item web address. It's the secret sauce for Adorama deals. Sometimes that tag gets lost in the redirect sequence, which ends up with the item showing up with the normal price.
I purchased the Brownstone Maple finish a few months ago and I absolutely love it. Looks beautiful and plays great, awesome guitars for the price. Just keep in mind the Bigsby might need a little "breaking in" first before its stable.

Try the "soft spring" replacement and some "nut sauce" for the win. Totally fixed all my bigsby tuning stability problems!
Shame these have relatively thin necks, I have a set of TV Jones pickups sitting around and I love the color. $279 for a guitar with a Bigsby seems like a really good deal.
Not sure if this applies to all the stock Adorama has on these Stirling Green models, but the one I got seems to be a mislabeled Gunmetal gray finish. This happened to at least one other SD user, who was understandably not happy with what was received. The sticker in the body indicates the 2622tSTRLGRN model, but the finish is definitely NOT the Stirling Green as advertised.
I've shared this thought in other threads, but I have a theory that Adorama is getting b-stock type inventory from Fender (Gretsch) at a discount and then selling it at these low prices. I'm okay with the color on mine- it's still a really good guitar... But be warned that you might not actually get the color you're expecting.

This is so funny because mine that I bought last month at this price, is also very gray. I assumed that it was because it was called stirling green I was expecting a very gray silvery green already. However now looking at the gunmetal and stirling green side by side on the website, I can barely tell a difference. I do think I probably got the correct color, but FYI it is NOT very green (and it doesn't look very green in the photo). However, it is very beautiful and it plays great. They do have 2 greener green colors for sale but not at this price.

For sure. I keep teetering on the idea that I got the "correct" color, or that I got a mislabeled Gunmetal one. My biggest argument for the mislabel is that I fail to get any green undertones in the finish- in any lighting conditions. I wasn't expecting the bright green like the Torino Green finish, but mine is straight up gray. I posted my review and pics on the Adorama page. I still love it, and it's a great guitar for the money (especially with the added gig bag with this black Friday deal)- I'd be jumping at this if I hadn't picked one up already.
