So basically as of 11/18

Base model MacBook Pro 14 best price are:

M1 pro: $1200 renewed at MC
M2 pro: $1599 at BB
M3 pro: $1799 at a few different outlets

M1 pro still the best bang for the buck imho.
What about the New M1 Pro with 32gb at Adorama for $1499? I think that was the best value so far.

Agreed. I'm looking for a 32GB model that's ideally M2 Pro. Maybe it's asking for too much, but it would be great if this was the price for the 32GB M2 Pro model by Black Friday.

Regardless, who cares Macs are the most powerful laptops available with unique features... Why do people care What they've been doing as far sales goes? Apple sells more Mac computer than any one manufacturer. With that said, prices are not going to go down. They're going to stay where they're at and people will still buy them and they will outsell any one manufacturer
  1. You just diverted from your original post with a "who cares", does not look good
  2. Tim Cook and investors care enough about sales numbers to talk about it in the earnings call
  3. Nobody as a customer cares about Apple outselling other individual manufacturer. If you like macbooks, good for you, but sales number barely affects your everyday laptop experience
  4. While you may think Apple "outselling" as proof of Apple's dominance, power, superiority or whatever, others see it as the fact that you have a plethora of choices when it comes to "other manufacturers" -- you can get a Windows laptop or Chromebook from a brand you like/trust in a configuration that may be affordable/stylish/powerful for your specific needs. For example, "outselling" means absolutely nothing when you cannot play the game you like on even the most powerful macbook
You can shill for Apple for as long as you want, but here at slickdeals people want to see deals and prices coming down.

$299 to go from 16gb ram to 32gb is apple steep but I agree if you really need the ram upgrade

(the adorama one is new but the warranty is the same)

Thanks for this. I had originally gotten the M1 Pro 32GB deal at Adorama but I don't "need" the 32GB and I'm fine with getting a newer processor and model and dropping down to 16GB of RAM since 16GB is my cutoff.

Another reason why Mac Sales are declining is because once you get a Mac, you don't need to buy another one for years to come. People don't upgrade their Mac's like how a lot of people change their phone every year or other year.
Windows PCs on the other hand don't last long and so those using Windows will still have some sales.

M1 to M2 a big jump, but M2 to M3 not so much I hear

Anyone have experience with trading in a laptop to Best Buy? Would any price changes happen in store or later? I've had Google claim a phone I mailed in had dead pixels and drastically lower the amount.

I also couldn't find what generation processor came in my early-2014 Macbook Air so I selected the oldest choice of 8th gen Intel Core i5.

I would probably just get the M3. But the M2 gives you hdmi 2.1 and wifi 6e
