BTW GameStop eliminated POSA sale with gift cards this month so no buying Xbox PlayStation etc gift cards with GameStop gift cards

Only buy gamestop gift cards if u plan to use immediately. I was saving mine & they needed to b reactivated & miraculously had no $ on them when i called to reactivate. Will never buy another gamestop gift card. Between that & the pro points that they also don't reactivate, I lost at least $200.

To those of you that have asked, no, you don't need to have an account, have the app, or have to scan any sort of coupon to get this deal. As someone else in the tread mentioned, be aware that the discount won't apply until you're about to check out. Both of the previous times I've bought cards from Dollar General during these types of deals, the cashier told me the amount due was the default price, but then a few seconds later when it came up on the register, the discounted price was shown.

Picked up a Jersey Mike's and Taco Bell cards without issue. Think the last time I went to TB was sometime in the '70's. I guess it's time to renew acquaintances. Not sure why honestly.

Went this morning to get 10 of the $25 Xbox cards. The cashier wanted to give me every reason not to sell them to me. "There is a limit of 3" I said where does it say that? "It's policy" I said ok show the policy to me or please call corporate. She called her manager and he said sell them. She rang them up one at a time, cash only. I ordered my Xbox s and saved an additional $50 by buying the cards. Worked great!

This is fraud. Gift cards laws changed and balances can't be removed. Demand they reinstate or you will take legal action.

Posted this on the Xbox thread too:

Bought 20 of the $25 gift cards at Dollar General. Local store policy said gift cards were cash only (a policy at the store manager's discretion). A little annoying but I just had the clerk hold onto them while I ran other errands and stopped by an ATM.

Cards ran up as $25 but came out to only $400 after totaling all 20. Took about 3 minutes for the register to process all the cards and I was GTG.

15 min to redeem them at Microsoft.com (1/3 card codes were poorly aligned and hard to read)


TLDR: Xbox Series X – Forza Horizon 5 bundle ($439.99) + 6% Sales Tax ($26.50) - 20% (DG gift cards) = $373.19 woot
