Would definitely get this if this had USB-C charging. Just that e-waste from big charging bricks.

my dell with a 10th gen intel does not specifically say it can charge usbc and came with a normal dell brick
but it will charge when i plug in a usbc and the symbol next to is is only the dp logo.
hard to believe this wont do the same thing, but i dont have any proof
this is a great price for a 12th gen but ive grown to accustomed to touch screens in my laptops

Can someone who bought this laptop tell what RAM module (part number) is already installed? I believe it is usually on a sticker attached to the module.
I would like to install an additional 8gb RAM using the exact same one, if possible. The laptop is a gift and I don't want to open the laptop box before the recipient gets it.

Appears to be different manufacturers, so you may have to open it up to know for sure.

I received mine and just opened up. To my surprise, it has one 8gb Samsung 3200mhz memory.

Mine has a kingston ram and it's also 3200mhz ...

The one I got today uses a single stick of 8GB Samsung 1Rx16. Unfortunately, this appears to be an OEM spec'd Samsung part and I couldn't find any retail equivalent.

I appreciate the insight!
I may just open it and try to repack it as carefully as possible in that case.

Go to Bios ->Storage. Under SATA/NVME the Default is set to RAID on. Select AHCI/NVMe. Click Apply at the bottom and exit. You should now be able to see the drives during Windows Setup.
Thanks this worked. But as mentioned earlier in this thread. I could not access the Internet through wifi. Also this laptop does not have an Ethernet port. So the only way is to buy an Ethernet - USB adapter?. Any other suggestions?, thanks again

Pay no mind to all the morons in these comments, it has USB-C and you can charge from it. If you got this system on a previous deal, doesn't mean you know shit about this one so shut the fark up, no one cares what you have to say.
I bought one and it does not have usb-c. In fact the listing clearly shows the ports available with this model. Maybe the more expensive configurations have it.
As per the dell website for this specific model

Available on carbon black configurations
1. SD Card Reader
2. USB 2.0
3. Headset jack
4. Power Jack
5. HDMI 1.4**
6. USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
7. USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A

Do the arrows point where to start pry off? I received mine yesterday, and really want to do the hinge nut adjustment. Thanks!

Yes, just get a small screwdriver, and gently pry up on the curved part. The cover will snap off, revealing the hinge.

Thanks for letting us know about the lack of USB-C. Disappointing. The OP's description was incorrect, it appears. I'm trying to decide whether to cancel my order. I needed 4k output via USB-C DP 1.4. I realize that this is an entry level machine, but Dell gimped the HDMI output, which would not have mattered if the USB-C DP 1.4 port was included on this machine.

I had $40 off $200 for Dell.com purchase added in my amex card which I do not see it now. Anyone is having the same issue?

Thank you Tomwil. Did what you suggested. Shall I go anti-clockwise to loosen it up, right? and how much shall we loosen the screw?
