I've been watching a particular cruise over the last couple weeks. For that specific cruise, this "sale" is actually more expensive than it has been for the weeks I've been watching.

BS, not if you're savvy and aware before hand. Cruises can be great value.
Our next is a transatlantic, Fort Lauderdale to Lisbon. $850 for 12 nights, that includes wifi and the drinks package.
Gratuity is $15 a day per person. Taxes a couple of hundred.

Find me an all inclusive vacation for 12 days for under $1000
Except for the plane ticket back

My favorite cruise line has a Black Friday deal too and includes a beverage package
beverage package is not 'free' on NCL. your fare rises by $300 when you select the 'free bonus'.

Disney, if you can afford it. If not, then Royal Caribbean.
Royal Caribbena it is! I won't give Disney a dime ever since they decided to be pathalogical crusaders for whatever social movement is in style...

Thank you for your help!

There are many better choices than Royal Carribean. It's barely better than Carnival.

On a princess cruise as I write this. Save your money. It's lipstick on the pig which is Carnival. Nothing works (Wi-Fi down yesterday afternoon through morning- so the app required to do anything on this ship was inaccessible). Food is disgusting except for places that have a surcharge. Breakfast this morning seemed like someone had shoved it up their rear and farted it onto the plates. Only thing entertaining about the entertainment was making fun of it with fellow guests. List goes on…
So I've done 20+ cruises so far, 4 of which with Princess. I mostly agree. I am NOT a picky person at all, but Princess is considered a "premium" brand. It's not luxury, but it should be more upscale in what you get. The entertainment was good, like really good. The brick oven pizza was phenomenal, and the Alaskan itinerary is really unmatched over any other cruise line. So, I still had a great time.

But, you literally are paying double over Carnival or Royal Caribbean for less options, and sometimes food that is either on par or worse in the Main Dining Room. Again, I am not picky, but when I am paying a premium, I expect a little better and I just didn't get that. I mean, the pricing is on par with say, Celebrity, or Holland America, and yet those lines had far better food, and imo, Celebrity was just overall better, with HA being my favorite for more traditional cruising if it's just my wife and I (RC Oasis ships, hands-down if sailing with the kids, is the best).

I just came back from Alaska 3 months ago and while I LOVED the cruise because the destinations were amazing, in comparison to other lines, I really think Princess has kind of fallen behind. I wouldn't dare sale on them on anything but Alaska.

What are your thoughts on Princess?
Best itineraries for Alaska, imo. Though, they are smaller ships typically, which means you have access to some ports others don't.

BUT... in terms of their competition, I agree that the overall quality for what you get, the bang for your buck, is not really there. So, I enjoy sailing on Princess, but I don't think they are as good as they were say, 20 years ago. Just my opinion.

My response just above this is about Princess for more details.

I'm currently on Caribbean Princess with my 2 boys. Since this is a holiday cruise lots of kids but I wouldn't sail with them when kids are in school. Electric wheelchairs and walkers all over.

Mofos. We just booked princess for Alaska. Mostly bc we are bringing kids so holland seems out. And grandparents wanted glacier bay so kid cruise lines were out. Now I'm worried.

Alaskan cruises are still great, don't be worried. It's just in comparison to the value, I don't think they are quite worth what they claim. I ONLY do Princess when I go to Alaskan cruises though. I've booked 4 cruises to Alaska, and Princess, and everytime I had fun and enjoyed it. I was merely pointing out they advertise themselves as a premium line and I think they are borderline NOT premium lol. The itineraries for Princess in Alaska are unmatched though. You'll be fine!

On a cruise as well. Sick as a dog. They wanted 150 to see the doctor. Skipped two ports due to weather. It's like a jail
That's unfortunate,

They are great, but I would not take my kids on priness. Not geared towards the young or young at heart. Alaska would be fine. All the people that come on here that say kids ruin cruises are the type you will find on any of the premium brands. Princess, Celebrity, etc. I stick to Carnival and Royal when I bring my kids.
