Bought a "used, like new" SSD from Amazon. Serial number indicates it is a 2-year-old model, and SMART indicates it has been powered on for 1000+ hours. Apparently, someone bought a new SSD from Amazon, replaced with their old one (which looks similar), and returned as if it is the same. Amazon did not check. Took me a while to get it returned. Conclusion: don't buy used SSD from Amazon.
