I just ordered the series 6 online and got an email 4 minutes later saying my order was cancelled because it's out of stock.
What region are you in? I'm in the northeast, ordered a few hours after your post, but received a shipping confirmation.

I ended up buying io-7 after doing some research. Apparently only models >=7 have batteries enable fast charging. Additionally, comes with the perk of the new magnetic charger that adapts to a wider voltage range 110-240V, so convenient for int'l travel.

Again, not saying any previous gens are bad. You get what you pay for, kinda..
I used Oral-B 110v charger in 220v plugs overseas without any problem. Supposedly a marketing gimmick to sell additional identical charger to those minding traveling.

Yes, I only needed a plug adapter to convert prongs from US to EU. First time plugging, I was expecting lots of sparks and fuse tripping 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Rechargeable batteries only die that fast if you're constantly charging them. Just like any other piece of electronics like your laptop or your phone, if you leave them plugged in at all times, you will kill your battery faster. My wife and I have had the same electric toothbrushes for almost a decade now. Stop putting it on the charger at all times and just charge when it gets low and should be fine.
Bit of an outlier but I had an iO6 that started to show battery issues almost a year in where it would suddenly die at over 50% charge. I charged it the same way as you explained where it goes on the charger one or two uses after it starts flashing low battery. Had it replaced under warranty without fuss at least.

As for out of warranty one can replace the battery in the iO series themselves. Bunch of videos and an iFixit guide on it.

Haven't used the replacement yet since switching back to my old Sonicare 4100. Still going strong for 4 years.

I have problem with the rebate.
P&G Rebate sent me an email saying that Walgreens is not a participating retailer. Anyone has the same issue?

Sorry! Your receipt doesn't
qualify for the offer.
Your receipt was not accepted because the retailer isn't part of the program.

That's totally strange. When submitting the rebate, there was a dropdown box to choose the retailer and Walgreens was on the list. You can go ahead and check that yourself by pretending to submit the rebate. Therefore, it would seem logical that Walgreens is a participating retailer if they're on the dropdown in the submission form.

I would reply to that email and politely tell them that you think there must be some misunderstanding. Let them know that the terms & conditions (https://p192909.pg.promosvcs.com/terms) do not explicitly state or define a participating retailer. Therefore, since Walgreens is on the dropdown list in their P&G rebate submission form, it would seem logical that Walgreens is a participating retailer.

In addition, sometimes, these rebate denials are automated and the provided reason is not really the reason for the denial. It's supposed to be a generic wording. So they could be denying your rebate for another reason. For example, are you sure you provided all receipts (Shipping/Delivery Confirmation and packing slip)?

Many thanks. I'll try to submit again.
