I was lucky to buy 8 of these at $3 when walgreens (or cvs?) Clearanced them out.

The only other earbuds that were above average, near perfect were some cheapest $30 buds by Sony. They sounded better than these TB, but they didn't have the mute on/off switch, nor a volume control that is much easier than going into the menu. Those were actually as clear as a $200 pair of TB Elite pro tournament headphones I had.
It's surprising that the boom causes echo and that after yrs it hasn't been fixed. I've had 2 other brands of identical loomking earbuds and they both had the exact same issue.
Regardless of the earbuds , if you want a better MP gaming experience even with so-so buds, on Xbox (maybe PS), try the Atmos app on ur Xbox. It offers a gaming preferences with dynamic directional sound. It's free for 7 days. And the last few years on BF, it's typically on sale for $10 for lifetime use.
No echo, great sound, and no one complains they do not hear me.
I think i paid the same money not sure how much this is a deal.
Just checked. I paid, $20, not $15, this is a good deal.

They only fit into one type of ear canal (yes, ear canals have sizes), and they start to become really uncomfortable after an hour.
I'd suggest buying a lightweight headphone instead. I've been using my Logitech light headset for a few years now, no ear/neck pain at all.
