Well they can use the old usb a charger with usb a to usb c cable if they want to slow charge, because with magsafe, you also get excessive heat compare to charging with cable.

So to recap,

Magsafe
Slow
More Heat than regular port charging
Still dealing with cable
Only good while on the go to avoid clutter

It's an opinion on the Internet. Why does it bother you? I personally disagree with their opinion but still gave them a thumbs up for expressing a valid point coherently.

I get your point. Only reason I'm considering is because lately my phone for some reason sometimes doesn't charge intermittently. First I thought it was the cable, but now I'm realizing my charge port may be getting warn down since my phone is years old. It doesn't happen when I want it to, but I've woken up to an uncharged phone. So a MagSafe charger ensures it charges. I may just get a new phone but the magsafe idea is a good way to push it another year if I ever get to the point where my charge port gets more unreliable.

To be honest, i still don't get why people are buying magsafe charger for home, lol. It plugs to the wall and when you charge your iphone, you will still cluttered with cable from the magsafe charger AND to top it off, it's slower than if you use the usb c or lightning port.

Magsafe is good when you are using portable power bank vs power bank with cable to plug to iphone port. Its slower but you pay for convenience not having cable while on the go. Also magsafe is good when you are in your car since it's also double as a phone mount, but for home? Can't see why…
Sometimes the charge ports get plugged with lint and your phone will not fully charge. This eliminates that.

Have you tried to clean inside the charging port? Dust and debris can accumulate inside and prevents charging. I normally take a paper clip and gently poke around the interior to dig out any dirt. I've brought extra life with some Apple devices that people assumed were broken but they just needed cleaning.
Yup when I was the Apple warranty staff member I cleaned a port a month using a toothpick or similar non conductive probe and "fixed" many peoples phones. The sliding in and out of pants/purse can cause lint to clog the port which may need to be removed periodically.

I also have this charger and while it does get hot on my iPhone q4 with Spiegen MagSafe case it does charge at a reasonable speed. The cost was almost worn it for the USBC wall plug even if the MagSafe adapter was crap.

When you put your phone in your pants pocket, try to insert the top phone first so the port is facing up. This will reduce link and dust getting inside the port.

Agreed. My battery is pretty shot too lol. I may do a replacement battery and go one more year, still deciding. Port replacement is definitely more involved.
Port replacement is rarely the cheaper or faster option either. If I just want to add 10-20% to a charge, or if I am going to be picking up and walking around with the phone while it gets charged, I prefer to use wireless charging than the plug to avoid wear and tear on the port.

I've never had a quality wireless charger with a proper case get any hotter with a low power charge than the heat of the phone during an intense graphics game or other app. The slow degradation of the battery from a good and certified charger is less of a concern to me than the potential to step on the charger in the port or drop it or in some other way damage the port in a frequent or rushed charging situation. But I imagine there are hugely varied use cases of people on this forum.

I plug in overnight to ensure the slow and intermittent charging gets the phone to full just before the alarm goes off, but I keep a wireless charger on my desk and by the door for those frantic "need to charge and also get ready/get something done" quick top ups.

I currently have one. I charge my phone at night and it does its job. There's small hole of light that it emits during charging
