I have both an 8 and 11. The battery life is terrible. The 11 is a stronger vac but the 8 is a good sweet spot. Once the battery dies, instead of buying a replacement, there is an aftermarket adapter that allows you to use the batteries from most major brand power tools. Choose the one that corresponds with your tools, remove 3 screws and you are done. Unfortunately they have not made a version for the V11 as of yet.

Personally I am deep in the dewalt ecosystem. So I bought the version that allowed all of my dewalt batteries to be hot swapped. No more issues with batteries running out and having to wait for a recharge.

I wound up grabbing a refurbished V8 Absolute from the Dyson eBay store for $200. Same warranty for $100 less than the new one in this deal.

Anyone with battery issues may like to know there's an adapter on ebay for all the popular power tool brands. Mine works flawless.

That is not completely true. Looking at the eBay listing it isn't the same warranty program. The difference is that your warranty is through eBay (Allstate), not directly from Dyson like when you buy it new. The Dyson warranty for a refurbished item is only 6 months to 1 year and based on the item specifics section it looks like it is only 6 months for the v8. I actually got the v8 absolute brand new from Dyson for $240 when stacked with the 20% cash back offer that was available on 11/21. Personally, I'd rather pay the extra $40 to have a brand new unit.

Thank you. I just bought V8 for $280 with 22% cashback. It's 22% because I am a new member.

If you wanted the best deal imho; V12 Slim Absolute ($399)

You're right, I didn't notice that it was Allstate. I was on the eBay app. The 20% off at $240 makes a better deal. I missed that by a few hours Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Roughly $246 vs $240 so pretty close. I bet they raise the price if it goes back to 20%
