there are too many different models. dumb of dyson to make so many models. how many models does one need? they don't they just do two, one high end one low end? there are dozens of dyson vacuums. really dumb and makes it confusing. it shouldn't be so confusing to buy a vacuum. making me consider buying another type of vacuum.

Where'd you get them from? What failed? My refurb V6 has lasted 5 years now and I wish it would die so I could justify a new one.

Large houses are the most incompatible with cordless vacuums imo. One battery is never enough to do such a large space, and there's numerous negative reviews on almost every cordless vacuum from people with large houses because they just don't last long enough for them.

Yeah, note on batteries: my Dyson v10 battery could not last long enough for me to do everything.
Also v10 and earlier do not have the clickable replaceable battery whereas v11 and later do.

To replace my v10 battery was $150.
To get a brand new v11 with clickable replaceable battery was $223.
I opted for the latter.

Much to my surprise the v11 battery by itself can last long enough where v10 couldn't.
But for larger jobs, yeah, you need an extra battery. They are click-changeable now starting with v11.


But I think the trade off is much bigger, I would need several extension cords for corded, they always tangle up, they can never reach all the way, you have to unplug/plug them into different sockets as you move - PLUS there are impossible to reach places for them, and doing some stairs with corded is simply not an option.

Enjoy your Tineco, I'm glad it's working for you. If only it was like that for everyone else that gets one. The reviews on those vacuums are the worst of any cordless vacuum brand I've ever seen. From batteries dying after two uses, to customer service ignoring inquiries about warranty work, they seem like the opposite of a great brand tbh.

Well I can say the samething about Dyson. Their customer service was pretty bad and didn't help me at all. They just told me to go into a service center lol. I also have friends who told my Dyson's CS gave them a run around which lead them to buy another brand. To each their own I guess.

Other options on the market other than dyson that do just as good if not a better job, check out Vacuum Wars on Youtube for their really good no BS roundup on suction and how they perform on various surfaces. Ultimately what got me to pull the trigger on a Dyson and I'm glad I finally did (and waited till it was non insanity pricing).
