Regardless of it being free on cable or On Demand, there are some that don't have cable nor On Demand available to them. I do have cable and still own this as it looks great in 4K and hate commercials. To each their own, but just because it's on cable doesn't mean people want to sit through all the commercials.
Maybe they want to watch it before Christmas? Maybe they want to own a holiday movie that they really like? And all for only $8.50?
So do you go threadcrap EVERY deal that you don't want to get in on? Don't know why you care how people can possibly go throwing their money around like this. Isn't there an Apple thread you can go to and tell them how to spend their money?

If it's the best price for an item, whether it interests you or not, it is at least a candidate for FP.

We're out here. That makes at least three of us. I no longer have a working player to watch it though. I'm still sore about it and still, all these years later, never bought a Blu Ray player.
My better working player usually glitches out at some point about an hour or so into a movie. I have another in storage that hasn't seen sunlight in a decade, don't remember what it is that makes me not drag it out... maybe doesn't have HDMI? I forgot. Confused But I have been fully absorbed by The Borg, no matter how miffed I was at Toshiba dropping out.
