1. You need the extra 100 nits brightness (work in bright areas)
2. Battery lasting 20 to 30 percent longer M3 pro over M2 Pro is important.
3. Laptop being cooler in your lap is important.
4. You do Alot of photo/Lightroom work.
5. You do 3D rendering or work where you need to use ray tracing (may consider jump to M3 Max if you do this for $$).
4. You have to have the Space Black Color.
Other than that stick with an M2 Pro new discounted or an Apple Certified refurb.
M3 Pro vs M2 Pro single core performance is slightly faster and Multi core is almost the same.
If your considering the M3 Max. Get the 16" or wait for the M3 Max Mac Studio in the Fall. The M3 Max is crazy fast but thermal throttles on long workloads in the 14" chassis.
