For those of us using Microsoft Rewards points to Microsoft Store credit or Dollar General gift card discount or Newegg Xbox gift card discount, I think this microsoft.com deal is likely the better Xbox Series X console deal.

For those paying without gift cards, the Target and Best Buy options may be better.

Links to each below.

Hope this helps, folks!

Why would a game being added be less than one with no game? Any difference with the system?

Also, it seems that on their site a refurbished is the same as a new one …

Thanks. I'm going to use my 20% discounted Xbox gift cards I've been hoarding for almost a year. Dollar General will have 20% discount on xbox gc starting 11/23.

It's helpful posting these deals, but it might also be helpful to link to the better Series X deals in the top post. For example, Target and Best Buy have better deals, unless you're getting a good price on Microsoft gift cards or something.

Good info. That'll be the best Series X deal probably. Maybe create a thread outlining the steps?

That having been said, the Target deal ($450 + Diablo 4 + $75 gift card) is almost as good of a deal and way easier to do. $440 Series X * 80% = $352. When you factor in 5% back on Discover or Red Card at Target (and assuming the $75 gift card is worth $75), you have a $352.50 price. There's other things to consider (e.g. other cashback), but really, the Target deal is super slick and super convenient.

it's pretty easy to get Xbox gift cards at 20% off. That makes us a pretty good deal. Especially if you want one of those two games

If you buy from microsoft.com and are using gift cards, I recommend paying completely in gift cards. Do not split the payment between store credit from gift cards or rewards redemptions and a credit card. I did this about a year ago and the whole amount went to the credit card. Took me having to return it and then almost three months of back and forth to get it straightened out. My $400 redeemed rewards credit was about to expire when it finally got worked out. This has been a very common problem for a lot of people. Not sure if it's been fixed since then.

FWIW, Target only has the Diablo package. Forza is only at Microsoft.

They don't want to keep the inventory for the bundles as the game will be less relevant thru time.
