This question comes up a lot, especially as we approach Christmas. The general recommendation is that you should open up the switch now, charge it, set up the online account, and do all the updates before Christmas morning. There are a few benefits:
1) You'll ensure that the switch is in working condition.
2) Your child won't have to do all this Christmas day (which may require your help and keep from doing other things on Christmas day).
3) You can purchase and download deeply discounted digital titles like this one ahead of time.
4) It also gives you a chance to install a screen protector ahead of time if you're interested in that.
Anyway, any idea if they'll be putting together a collection like this of the Sega Master System games? I'd be all over that.

I got the same code and canceled my order.
I played Sonic and Sonic 2 in this Genesis collection and the lag made the games unplayable for me. I played Sonic 2 with the Online Expansion pack and it played perfect. For the Expansion pack, I purchase a spot on a family plan on Ebay each year. I believe I paid $17 this year
