Damn! Great price. I bought this off the eBay deal not long ago for almost $80. You're breaking my heart

Not cordless = good thing! This type of an item, for most people, is not something you use every day. If so, having unused batteries sit on a shelf is not a good thing. I would rather use it when / as needed and put it away than having to spend more money on replacement battaries.

Now, if you use yours often, that is a different issue. And I suspect one would go for a more commercial product in that case.

Had one for a few years. Very useful around the yard and very strong for such a small unit. I broke a tine off because my soil is more rock than dirt and could never find where to buy replacement tines, but highly recommend this unit.

Not cordless = no thx
In my case that is actually a benefit. I get to run my generator for a few hours, which I would need to do anyway, to not let it sit in my garage during the summer months, when power outages are quite rare in our area.

I hesitated on the eBay sale but jumped on this one through Walmart. I added the extra 2 year warranty for $5.00, why not.

Earlier in the year I saw the gas powered units on sale via Home Depot but I really couldn't justify that big of a machine ever though the price was outstanding.

I think this will do just fine for what I need and the handle folds up to put away relatively compactly.

Just remember to use a good 12 gauge extension cord with it for best results. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

How good is this with heavy clay soil?
No go on heavy clay soil. I have the same type of hard soil and bought 2 years ago for this price. It couldn't dig into the soil at all. My gardener laughed at me when he saw it lol

I have one of these and have used it for the past three years. It has performed well for me. I appreciate that it is light and easy to handle for a senior citizen. I jumped on this deal, just in case my old one has issues down the road. At this price, you can't go wrong.

I tried that too, never worked out for me. I gave up after trying for a few days. My gardner knew a guy with one of those mini bobcats and made quick work of the soil for us. It was a large area so prob saved me hours of work anyway.

Slick! Bought the Walmart deal, added the $5 2 year warranty and had 5% cash back through cap 1. Almost bought it at $80.

I have this model. Damn thing works unbelievably well. It's got so much power. The only thing is it's too light , do you have to bungee a concrete block on top to get it to dig into the soil
