I wouldn't recommend buying from A4L either. I bought a receiver from them and it was messed up day 1 and the dude running the site personally told me that he would not accept a return. I've been stuck with a messed up receiver ever since.

I think they meant extra 50% off..LOL

There have been brand new units at these same prices..or even a bit lower in a few cases

Directly from denon, they only offer one year warranty unlike a4l and someone said they bought three refurb units that all died. Apparently their refurb testing process is not as thorough. The brand new one goes down to 999 on Adorama and that has a 3 year warranty.

My first Denon (a few years ago) was a refurb. It was buggy…would lock up requiring power cycle maybe 30% of the time when using airplay. Not worth the risk IMO.

I've purchased 2 refurbs from denon, one of them is 7 years old and still going strong and the other is 8 months now without a problem

Mine came DoA a week ago. It didn't even turn on and the board that housed the buttons on the front was smashed in. The packaging was all good, so it wasn't the shipper.
