Here are a couple resources for discount codes if your game isn't on the list. https://meta-dog.github.io/meta-dog/

Beat Saber & Vader Immortal are obvious buys but there are some others too. Good time to pickup titles.

I wish the music packs for Beat Saber would drop…

Pistol Whip and Super Hot VR are insanely fun.

Thrill of the Fight will give you a good cardio workout.

Pistol Whip, Beats Saber, 11 table tennis, ib Cricket - love all these games.

Any other recommendations?
Thrill of the Fight for sure. Vader Immortal. Virtual Desktop if you're doing any PCVR.

You can get referral discounts on those though.
I have a welcome25 code but it didn't work on Lone Echo II. Well, I had a welcome25...it said it expires tomorrow but it's disappeared all of a sudden, and doesn't work on anything. Probably not a big deal since I know about the referral codes now, and the vast majority of what I want is on this 40% off sale...but annoying still.

Be mindful if you're picking up multi-player games because some of these games started with very small communities and have gotten even smaller, to the point some might call them dead games.

You can set up an account yourself or for them in advance and buy the games even without a registered device

Beat Saber says it's only for Meta Quest devices, but is also listed under the Link PC VR option. I have the Oculus Rift S. Will this work?

If you like BeatSaber - the "premium" to buy it on Steam and have and easy time modding is worth it.

Last I checked the PC and quest versions were not cross buy. Both device types have different stores and some of the games are cross buy and some are not.

You need to make sure that you are in the rift store and not in the quest store when you buy it although as someone else pointed out, if you're going to buy the PC version, definitely buy the one on steam because it is easier to mod

Got it. They forced me to merge my Oculus account into a Meta account or I would lose access to everything. I'll try logging into the desktop app and purchase from there. If it's on sale on Steam, I'd much rather do that.

Promo code does not work on the Oculus desktop app. I've played it before on PSVR, not worth $30. Would pay $18 though. Oh well.

considering they took 5 years to offer their first BF discount i've seen I doubt that's coming anytime soon
I remember purchasing a ton of songs at $0.99 each last year, that wasn't a bad deal IMO and perfect for folks who only like a few songs from the entire pack

Once quest became the focus they pretty much stopped putting rift apps on sale. Steam black Friday sale starts soon but they rarely put it on sale.

I can't figure out an easy way to tell which games/apps are cross buy. It's really annoying me! That said, I would think for something like Beat Saber you'd really want to minimize latency and go native. I'm loading up on a lot more native stuff than I originally planned on...especially things that have AR/MR options (or might in the future!).

This is the 'official' list but it's actually incomplete. Games will sometimes join/leave this list. When something is cross buy it appears 'free' in the store you did not buy it in, but you have to add it to your account to keep it.

https://www.meta.com/experiences/...183153590/

This is an unofficial list (look at the cross buy column) and it will have more games than what you see in the Meta store.

https://vrdb.app/quest/index_us.h...s-Buy+Apps

People who play on Steam or Rift have a wired headset, so the latency is actually more or less the same as the Quest version, although 'pro' users often have PCs with basestations for tracking since it does a better job of tracking via basestations.
