Are there good FPS games with campaigns on this list?

I'd love a game like Halo. Looks like the Guardians game doesn't have an actual campaign.
Contractors is at least one that's on sale.

Into the Radius is a FPS too.

Both are very well reviewed. I own both, on Steam, but I haven't even played them. I have a Mt. Everest of backlogged games - probably 4 lifetimes worth. lol

I'm going to get a meta 3

Is it worth rebuying games I already have on steam?

No, I don't think so, why would you?

It depends on 2 factors. The game itself and the price you'd have to pay to rebuy it. If the game were beat saber I'd say 100% worth buying native copy even if you already own on steam because it requires precise fast movements that even small delays in using virtual desktop can cause issues with. Couple that with a 40% off sale and I think its a no brainer to rebuy the native version. But if phasmophobia came out with a native app on the quest and you already owned it on steam I'd say there is 0 reason to rebuy it even on sale. So the answer like most things in life is "it depends".

The answer to this one is buy virtual desktop on sale. Assuming you have a decent PC buy half life alyx on steam and setup with virtual desktop. Half Life Alyx is the best FPS campaign game in VR and I don't honestly think anything else is close.

Depends on the game. I rebought Eleven and Thrill of the Fight, and it was 200% worth it. Reduced latency, play anywhere, and above all, mixed reality! If I had Beat Saber or Pistol Whip already, would consider rebuying, but I'd need to see how the PCVR streamed first to know for sure.

It's to bad they force you into the rebuy

But given that, what's the best way to reduce lag

I have a ubiquiti edge router with 5ghz access points in the house. All computers are hard wired through switches.

Should I add a ubiquiti 6e access point? Is it worth upgrading the router to a 2.5 instead of gigabit? Is there some better way to do this such as something connected to the computer used?

I see there are 3 titles of Vader Immortal .. which one should be a good buy?
I played it on ps vr, so take this with a grain of salt.

Go in understanding what this game is. A vr movie with minimal game play and a dojo to train in that has no bearing on the main quest.

All 3 episodes are maybe 30 minutes MAX. Most of that is spent watching a video. Granted a visually amazing, vr video, but a video nonetheless.

For me the second episode was probably the most disappointing. The highlight of it is fighting a rancor, which was completely awesome. The battle lasted maybe 5 minutes. Like I said earlier, the entire episode was 30 minutes and besides the rancor the only other battle in that one was against a few guard droids. I dare say under 10 minutes of actual game play. This was made worse because i was stuck trying to get off a ladder for probably the same amount of time as the fighting. The climbing mechanism is clunky and wouldnt allow me ro fully climb. Completely frustrating.

There's no exploring, no side quests (on the main campaign), nothing. You can do the dojo, which is somewhat fun, but I found the tutorials to be inadequate. They taught me how to block (very oversimplified, hold the light Saber to one side instead of up and at and angle like you'd expect). I'd do this and still be hit. I rage quit after this happening far too many times.

If you could buy this for under $10 it might be worth it. I'd definitely pick it up for 5. Anything more than 10 and I'd pass personally. If you don't mind that it's more movie than game, then buy it. Just know what you're in for at the start.

Are your access points hard wired to your primary router? How close is your gaming area to the closest access point? What are you using, Airlink or Virtual Desktop? Is your gaming Access Point a dedicated AP, just for your Quest (no other traffic allowed)?

Access points are hard wired

I can make it such that an access point is in the same room and I could make it dedicated.

Which is better air-link or virtual desktop?

I have t purchased yet but want a good experience

Yep, put the access point as close as possible, and make it dedicated. Make sure it's on a different wireless channel too, from your other APs, and main router.

I think Virtual Desktop is best, but some people have no issues with Airlink. Since it's on sale, I would personally recommend picking it up.

My kid plays on my account where I don't use it at all, so will he see if I purchase beat saber for him before Christmas since he actively uses the VR?

I've never used the feature before, so read up on it, but on each game page there's a "Buy For A Friend" just under the price. You can send the Meta game gift key to your own email, and then provide it to your kid on Christmas. However, note that the code needs to be redeemed within 30 days of being sent:

"App gift codes can only be redeemed once, are redeemable by anyone who has access to them, and will expire after 30 days if not redeemed."

Thank you for letting me know. And 30 days is stupid at this time of year. At least 45 days, but I really do appreciate it, thank you!

The coupon ends on 11/28 at 10am PST. So if you buy on the last day of the coupon, and are just careful about redeeming it no later than Christmas, you should be fine.
