Sounds like you are not in a trade or do DIY just a few times out of the year.
If that's the case, something like this deal
Limited-time deal: WORKPRO 7-piece Pliers Set (8-inch Groove Joint Pliers, 6-inch Long Nose, 6-inch Slip Joint, 4-1/2 Inch Long Nose, 6-inch Diagonal, 7-inch Linesman, 8-inch Slip Joint) for DIY & Home Use https://a.co/d/49mMRxI
Would be more suitable.
However, knipex is known for quality, retaining an edge, comfort, and gripping without slipping.
I rather buy once, pay more and have a tool that will last than a drawer full of broken ones or knuckle busters that I'm replacing every few years.
nah, garage sales or chinese sites for this stuff, too much for pliers imo

Are these the smaller tools for precision work or still medium/large? I already have a larger set with the standard (non-comfort?) grips but looking for a small set.

These are more for larger work. They are too large for fine detail work.
Check out the Hakko deal to see if there are still available. I love those little snips
It isn't hard to fine made in the USA tools. I don't mean tool truck stuff either. You have to look but there are plenty of manufacturers here in the good 'ol USA making tools.
Having said that, Knipex makes some of the best pliers you can buy. Less than $20 each is awesome.
Thanks for the post Tots!
