The TV series nailed it. What great premise followed by horrible movie sequels. Still one of my favorite movies / tv series of all time.

It was a big loss at the theatre, home video is what created a following and created the franchise. ( i googled it )

budget $19 million
box office $12.8 million

Clancy Brown ( the Kurgan ) has said multiple times he was never paid anything for the movie.
