People really don't understand that Slickdeals is a business and not some fair upvoting platform.

Businesses PAY to be on the front page. SD gets a cut of those sales via tracking cookies.

Some deals can make it there naturally but many many of them are sponsored by businesses to push "deals" to you. That's why so many crappy deals make it to the front page.

So I've owned this for over 4 years. It's really nicely built and the battery lasts an unbelievably long time. The comb adjusts in slightly longer increments than I need for fading the bottom of my beard, so I do have another POS one that gave me half step adjustments. But this is still my primary daily beard trimmer. Highly recommend at this price point. note that I keep my beard quite short so I'm not sure for those with fuller beards if this has the range you'd need.

Same price I paid Dec 2021. Debating getting another before the battery dies.

This is a great beard trimmer, but too short for hair unless you just do a buzz cut.
This or Walgreens deal on Braun?

Does anyone know if this works plugged from dead? Silly question, I know, but my other Norelco doesn't. I've had to skip engagements because I've shaved half my face before it dies and it doesn't work plugged in from being dead.

I got the Braun for $15 and seems like a nice unit. I would say these 2 look comparable

Will it help me maintain a stubble ? I need something that will evenly trim my stubble not really a beard. Like a 1 or 2 size. I have the norelco trimmer but it's not doing the job unless I need to use some other attachment that I don't know if.

I haven't seen a Philips Norelco trimmer this cheap since I bought my multigroom 3100 in 2017 for maybe $17 or so. Any idea what beard trimmer is the best value nowadays? I recently got the braun one from Walgreens on clearance.
Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the Braun from Walgreens if you've had time yet to give it a whirl? Thank you in advance if possible.

It feels and looks really solid. It doesn't trim as close as my broken old braun shaver's flip-out trimmer but we're talking a $160 trimmer from 2012 vs a $20 trimmer in 2023. The mechanism to adjust the length seems like it could break internally. They have like 1000 models that seem interchange so who really knows....

ug. I literally just got back from costco from buying the $35 one. I was eyeing this one as I had the older version of this for a number of years and it worked great. Tempted to return and buy this.

Someone asked this in the Amazon questions, and 3 answers say it works with the cord while 2(including Philips themselves) say it doesn't.

Also available at Walmart for the same price: https://www.walmart.com/ip/846271935

It does for me. The battery was probably not completely dead (e.g. letting it discharge for months), but blades slowed way down and stopped while trimming. Plugged in, and zoom, full speed trimming while plugged in.
