    I've had this model (maybe the v2 version) for 3 years, 2 years in the Vegas summer heat and no issues whatsoever

    IMO VIOFO is one of the best dash cams for the price, updates and features.

    Not sure on your situation but I would suggest the capacitor version over the battery type.

    Any high endurance card is fine. Don't overpay for super fast speeds just make sure it's high endurance.


    The main problem with most dashcams is that you don't get parked protection unless you buy additional cables and gmhard wire which requires access to fuse panel and to know which fuses are switched which ones are not. Most new car brands may not have switched up fronts so if you wire to constant always on, then you also need low voltage cut off and the list goes on and on.They need to make better packages with these features built in.

    My viofo a119 v2, had several years, now have black x boxes on screen
    Sd card in, buttons not responsive
    Sd card out, now buttons working
    - Default settings, no fix
    - Will not take firmware update
    Not sure I will buy again

    Edit:
    Omg, it's fixed
    Not sure what fixed though
    Remove card
    Reboot
    Set Default settings, it reboots
    Issue persist
    Played around with settings
    - speed unit, mph
    - set date time
    - beep sound, startup only
    - car number, put a character, but set back to blank
    No more black x
    Restart with sd card, no more black x, buttons working

    I have a129 duo. Right after year of using wifi stopped working (common issue) . I'm using now for 2 years and sometimes rear camera doesn't work Or both freeze and I have to unplug power cable. Cheap but still not worth it.

    I live in a desert state with hot summers. I ordered my A119 V3 in July, 2019 and it's still solid. In fact, my wife got in a wreck last year and got hit on the front right side from a stop sign runner and it recorded perfectly and made the insurance process as easy as possible.

    I've had this model for about 2-3 years now and it works flawlessly. Thankfully I haven't really needed any of the footage, but it sure does help when I come home from somewhere and assist with my "you wouldn't believe" story to the wife.

    Helps to have a micro SD to lightning adapter so you can pull videos on the fly rather than needing a computer.
