I have an older model of this, and cannot recommend if you get any volume of snow. I use mine sparingly - it shines with about 1-2" of drier snow, but really lacks the ability to blow very far

2 stage is the way to go, and would probably look at the Ego 2 stage with some higher capacity batteries if you are already invested in the line.

Just an FYI I did a direct comparison of this vs a similar sized gas model at Lowes in about 6inches of snow in the North Jersey area
Sorry people it wasnt even close Id say i had to drop the Ego to half the speed i was going with using the gas Ariens and the Gas machine blew the snow much further.
Yes the Ego was quieter easy start BUT when we get hit with a real storm u better be ready.
Now in maybe light fluffy snow it be aok BUT not sure since my playtime at work came to a close.....lol

POWER+ Peak Power 56-volt 21-in Single-stage Push Cordless Electric Snow Blower 5 Ah (Battery and Charger Included) https://www.lowes.com/pd/EGO-POWE...5001960681

Heard a lot of bad things about power tools in general with Amazon. For $50 more you can get it at Lowes and know it's a new unit from an authorized seller.

Amazon is an authorized seller for this item and most Ego products now. Just make sure you select Amazon as the seller and you will have no issues with open, used, old stock or with registering the tool for warranty.

Or, you could just price match the Amazon price and buy at Lowes:

This is a 2 stage blower isn't it vs what you've linked?

You were not asking me, but both are SNT2112 which is single stage. I believe you can price match the Amazon price and buy local at Lowes if you prefer.

I have the single stage plastic auger model and it does the lighter stuff ok. I tend to start walking down the middle of the 3 car driveway. It doesn't throw as far as they say but it works for me. I have a backup gas Ariens 2-stage that I could use if we get a blizzard drop but haven't really needed that much since I got the single-stage EGO snow blower with plastic auger. If I were to buy now, I'd probably get this steel auger single-stage though.

I suggest reading reviews on whichever one you plan to buy.

They are both single stage meaning 1 auger does all the work. A two stage has the main auger to pull snow in and a secondary impeller to throw it out the discharge.

The next model up, SNT2114, for $100 more comes with 2x 7.0Ah batteries. Seems like a worthwhile upgrade. This thing is reviewed pretty well. Looking at it for my upstate NY house

I had this for 2 years, then I gave it to a relative who has a much smaller area to snowblow. It's not bad if you're just doing a small driveway or walk, but it just wasn't up to my task. 60' x 20' driveway, and 100' of sidewalk.

Got the 2 stage, and have been happy ever since.
